It won't be Salford all the time the ex Man U contingent are using them as a vanity exercise but I totally agree with your sentiment and I'd add AFC Fylde to that list as well. In terms of the historic top trumps above, I'll see your Fisher Athletic and raise you a Colne Dynamoes! What do we get for a Histon? Or a Salisbury City? Or dare I say a Kingstonian? You are just showing off now The point being is Newton's theory still holds true, gravity always wins in the end, the higher you go the more energy you need to burn, perpetual motion does not exist. The moment you lose energy you start to fall until you reach a level equal to that of your sustainable energy. In many cases the sustainable energy is less than that required to lift the payload and it goes bang when it hits the ground. Then someone goes around to see what they can make of the scattered pieces, it may be possible to cobble together a bicycle, or it maybe better to throw the lot in the bin

So we know 42 is the answer. But what was the question?

Bloody obvious, the question is how many league games are there in a league of 22 which just so happens to = the meaning of life 42

So according to the Non-League Paper today Ebbsfleet are considering taking a drop in status. If they do - does anyone know what rule applies? Does a VNL side gets a reprieve from dropping out?

Interestingly, two clubs who could benefit from a reprieve by finishing 21st, Aldershot and Havant & W, play each other on Monday (at Aldershot).

So according to the Non-League Paper today Ebbsfleet are considering taking a drop in status. If they do - does anyone know what rule applies? Does a VNL side gets a reprieve from dropping out? From the Fleet forum: I have read some crap about us in recent weeks but this is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard in my life, I have just spent the last 10 days working on the budget for coach travel next season in the National League plus the budget for overnight stays, think about it as well, we secured our National League status when we won at Harrogate and the following Monday Dave Archer worked on Season Ticket prices and admission prices based on being in the National League, do you really think Dave would have let over 200 loyal fans pay National League prices for a Season Ticket if we were planning to apply to be demoted to the Bostik League, I also spent 3 months working on our EFL application which is a bit of a minefield, I have contacts to quote for automatic turnstiles and CCTV and had discussions with the club doctor about obtaining extra qualifications should we get promoted, does this sound like a club that is considering asking for demotion? Obviously it could be a load of crap, but what he's saying doesn't necessarily follow. Considering something as a last resort doesn't preclude taking the usual steps to plan for business as usual, which they're almost certainly hoping is what will happen regardless of worries about having to drop down.
Anyway, it wouldn't be the first time Ebbsfleet have wasted resources on putting all their eggs in the wrong basket based on thinking they're going to end up better off than they actually did *cough* Las Vegas *cough*
