When they are arranged, they will be announced. When they are announced, someone will put them on the forum. The club is hardly likely to hide them from us or need prompting to announce them! You could be right about this time last year but don't you think it might be a bit different this time with the break in continuity vis-a-vis team management? The 2018-19 season hasn't even finished yet, give our new manager a chance to get settled in... Having said all that, I wouldn't be surprised to see a friendly with Havant & Waterlooville on the menu. We had one there a few years ago didn't we?

We did indeed as part of the deal taking Kevin Scriven here. Havant have 2 already booked. Away at Bognor and home to Pompey. But they play those every year and we don't have that friendly arrangement with any club. But from my memory its pretty rare we get games booked in this early.

Frankly I couldn’t think of anything worse than a friendly with Havant right now. We’ve been there a hell of a lot over the last few years too

Frankly I couldn’t think of anything worse than a friendly with Havant right now. We’ve been there a hell of a lot over the last few years too I agree to a point. I always think of friendlies being a test against a side which will show competitiveness against a side of a similar level e.g. a League 2 side or a national south side. Anything else should be a home tie against a potential income generating side. Putting sentimentality aside, we'd make more money playing Maidstone or Aldershot at home than Havant, and playing them away will help Havant financially whilst providing a bit of a test although personally I think playing a Bath or Welling/Woking will do that better rather than facing pretty much a new side which we know will be made up of players who have played for us before (maybe in different sides). Of course we didn't play Eastleigh in a friendly when Dos arrived and had to wait for the FA trophy before we faced them, so a friendly against Havant isn't a dead cert.

Home are usually bigger clubs and away lower clubs.
Maybe Carshalton away?

Tonbridge away. Especially if they win promotion. Ten minute train journey. Well, for me at least. OK, I'm being a touch selfish but with the connection maybe possible. I did wish for this last season too.

Well, you never know. The saying goes be careful what you wish for. As in, Sutton get spanked by Tonbridge. But hey, at least I'm memorable.

We used to have a pre season friendly with the Angels for several seasons.

I once got a letter inviting me to take a test as part of my application to a university course I really, really wanted to do. But the date clashed with our league match at Tonbridge. I couldn't miss a Sutton game of course! Especially as I'd committed to cycle to every away match as a fundraiser that season. Realised I had no idea where this test was, so checked it just in case there was a possibility of getting to both. Turns out it finished around 1:30...at the Salomons campus at Southborough, about 4 miles from Tonbridge's ground

Apart from the matches against the Bobbins for the Tom Fuller Trophy, I cant remember a PSF that was particularly entertaining. In the old days the big clubs would send down teams with a smattering of stars, not any more. I only go to see who the new players are and because AB ropes me in to sell season tickets!

Although I work in Tonbridge and have for about 7 years I've never been to their ground. I have no affinity with the town, as nice as it is.

Nice ground. Wouldn't look out of place in the National League.
