The leaving of the pitch once subbed is definitely a good one.

Be fun to see which rule is inconsistently implemented down at our level. Refs still don't consistently use the rule about players receiving treatment not having to leave the pitch when the opposition get carded.

Watching today's England women's game I do think that the delays for flagging for off-sides is going to cause so much frustration. I don't mean to the extent of the Cameroon players - there really were some disgusting shows of dissent - but I really don't know why the flags can't go up immediately. It doesn't make any sense. Are they just hoping the defence will clear the attacks?

At SCR we’ve got to get our heads round sin bins!

Surely the delayed flagging is a direct consequence of having VAR i.e. officials are being told to wait for a VAR decision on tight offsides, just as they were in the Russia 2018 World Cup?
It also begs the question - why are pitch officials still necessary if they're simply required to defer to the result of a VAR call. If FIFA are proposing to take away the autonomy of the referee and line officials, then why not simply officiate from the VAR booth? Certainly the referee during yesterday's Cameroon fiasco may as well have not been there, for the all the good she did.

At SCR we’ve got to get our heads round sin bins! The entire Cameroon squad should have been sin binned yesterday.

At SCR we’ve got to get our heads round sin bins! Are they being introduced then at your level? An experiment like kicks instead of throw ins? What for exactly?

...to reduce instances of dissent in response to refereeing decisions. The sin binning of goalkeepers in particular will be... interesting, because they have to return to the field of play as an outfield player until a dead ball situation allows them to transfer back in goal, so goalkeeping dissent carries especially adverse consequences.

So is this just in SCR's league for now?

I think it’s across level 5. Don’t know who is going to monitor time spent in bin as we don’t have 4th officials at this level. If more than one player is in at one time....

My understanding is that sin bins will apply to all clubs at steps 5 and 6 next season.

My understanding is that sin bins will apply to all clubs at steps 5 and 6 next season. Excuse my ignorance but as we play in the 5th tier does it include us or doesn't it work like that?

The National League is Step 1, the Combined Counties is Step 5.

The National League is step 1 of the non league system, so steps 5 and 6 equate to the 9th and 10th tiers respectively.
