Come on then..fill me in with the gory details. Did the bloodthirsty mob take on Matt and the board or did the keyboard warriors turn into pussycats on the night?? Would loved to have witnessed the mouth frothing but sunnier climes won me over. Fair to say that a win or two would be welcomed but we’ll survive and thrive. No thirsty mob. Keyboard warriors stayed behind their keyboards. No!! From what I’ve read on sections of this forum and on the ghastly and frankly embarrassing Facebook group I had assumed the evening to be apocalyptic. We survive another day!!!!

That is a superb description of the Facebook group! Keyboard warriors really get their rocks off on negativity! No apocalypse tonight for sure. And I'll put money on Matt not being sacked or resigning this season. Which I think is the right course of action.

I had no idea that there was a Sutton United Facebook Group.
I do, however follow Sutton on there so why don't I chance to get it?
Must be the manager's fault. Everything else seems to be.

Why is it that anybody who has dared to suggest that the manager might not be up to the task in hand is now just a keyboard warrior or part of some Facebook group that has been apparently trolling him ? I for one DO want him and his team to prevail and to lead the players to a nice comfortable mid table finish but at the present time I have very serious doubts about his ability to do this , primarily due to his lack of managerial experience , and think some player recruitment to strengthen the side is required if money and the right type of players are available . These opinions do not make me a keyboard warrior but a lifetime supporter with serious concerns.
Now , before anybody wishes to denounce me as part of a mob please bear in mind the following facts :
1) I may be new to this forum but I have been a regular at GGL since about 1972. 2) My parents were both previously Vice Presidents of the club back in the day and we all enjoyed many an away trip together. 3) I do not belong to facebook 4) If I were not currently in Cornwall visiting my mother who is in a hospice , and if I were free to attend last nights meeting I would certainly have asked Matt myself if he considered himself up to the job and if results do not improve consider his position .

Not the case. But there wasn't one person there last night who said that he may not be up to the job. Whilst there are many reasons why people didn't attend with legitimate reasons like your good self, your opinion isn't out there on it's own and there would be others who think the same as you who either didn't show or stayed silent last night. There was a great opportunity to get their point across, but were conspicuous with their absence. In terms of player recruitment, from what I heard last night I think it's not likely we will get any players in unless others leave as the budget sounds pretty tight.

Everything else seems to be. ‘in my opinion’ you really would not benefit from being in it I took myself out a long time ago. Not in any way an official club Facebook group . Come join the Jamie Butler fan club one tho.. only positive / constructive in there 😀

FWIW Matt said that he is not on Facebook and does not visit this forum. The only form of social media he uses is Twitter, and that mainly as a source of football information. So the chances are that he won't have seen the negative comments.

Was there any update on how much has been sold for the Amber 500?

Was there any update on how much has been sold for the Amber 500? Not specifically apart from sales have been "disappointing" so far.

Matt's choice to ignore this is different from his predecessor - who said he tried to read everything on here, and certainly weighed in with replies on occasion. It is a modern-day plague that you cannot buy anything on-line, or in a shop you visit often, without being surveyed about your experiences of the shop and the goods. But you can come to GGL, offer feedback, and know that the manager won't read it. It's different anyway.

If there was no one at the meeting brave enough to ask tough questions especially at the moment the meeting is a waste of everyone's time. The two questions I would have asked: To Matt- How are we going to turn around our current form?. To Bruce- How important is it to the club to remain in the National League?
If I had been there I would genuinely have asked these questions but as covered on an earlier post could not get there yesterday.

Someone should've asked them to name The Magnificent Seven, that normally stumps people.

I see you've added judging what everyone else might want to hear to judging the management team!
