Rather ignorantly of me I had to look up which division Chichester City compete in - was surprised to see it was the Isthmian set-up (south-east division) a fine result for them yesterday at home to higher opposition. I’m guessing Chichester and Whyteleafe are the lowest clubs left in the competition.
Locally it was a mixed day as AmberChoc mentions in his post, Carshalton getting an excellent win up at Lowestoft - have we ever faced the Robins in the FA Cup?

We played Robins regularly in the FA Cup in the 40's and 50's and before WWII but not since '60/1 season.

Chichester City were promoted this year as champions of the Southern Combination (the old Sussex League). The club is now playing at the highest level in its history.

Yes, Chichester and Whyteleafe are the lowest that are definitely through, but Bristol Manor Farm, bottom of the Southern South Division, are the lowest left in. Maldon & Tiptree play at the same level, but might well be a tougher proposition, having won all 13 of their games this season! Here’s the list of those teams I would expect to see in the southern half of tomorrow’s draw: Aldershot Town (21st - Step 1) Barnet (6th - Step 1) Billericay Town (8th - Step 2) Boreham Wood (11th - Step 1) Bristol Manor Farm (20th - Step 4) or Wealdstone (1st - Step 2) Bromley (2nd - Step 1) Canvey Island (15th - Step 4) or Bowers & Pitsea (19th - Step 3) Carshalton Athletic (8th - Step 3) Chichester City (7th - Step 4) Chippenham Town (15th - Step 2) or Slough Town (6th - Step 2) Dagenham & Redbridge (7th - Step 1) Dartford (17th - Step 2) Dover Athletic (8th - Step 1) Dulwich Hamlet (13th - Step 2) Eastleigh (14th - Step 1) Ebbsfleet Utd (24th - Step 1) Haringey Borough (6th - Step 3) Havant & Waterlooville (3rd - Step 2) Hayes & Yeading Utd (15th - Step 3) Kings Langley (14th - Step 3) Kingstonian (14th - Step 3) or Weston super Mare (9th - Step 3) Maidenhead Utd (16th - Step 1) Maidstone Utd (9th - Step 2) Maldon & Tiptree (1st - Step 4) Margate (11th - Step 3) Oxford City (18th - Step 2) Poole Town (2nd - Step 3) Potters Bar Town (10th - Step 3) Royston Town (10th - Step 3) Torquay Utd (9th - Step 1) Welling United (14th - Step 2) Weymouth (4th - Step 2) Whyteleafe (14th - Step 4) Woking (4th - Step 1) Yeovil Town (3rd - Step 1)

I genuinely thought that they are called the Preliminary rounds. Or am I mistaken with the extra earlier games? Reason being, how do you call it a qualifying round if the competition is open to all teams and everyone has already qualified? Or am I stupid? Yes!

Some "big" games in the draw.
York vs Stockport Chesterfield vs Wrexham
Not that long ago and such fixtures would grace the competition proper, not in a qualifying round.
Another couple of games in the North, Barrow vs Solihull Moors, and Halifax vs Harrogate mean plenty of smaller clubs with decent chances to progress and meet potential league opposition.
In our half, outside of our game, Ebbsfleet vs Woking, Bromley vs Aldershot and Torquay vs Boreham Wood are the highlights and do the same.

We've got to be happy with a home tie against a side from a lower division (even though that didn't work out too well in last season's 1st round).
There are likely to be a few of our former players in the visiting squad.

Hi Mark, there's been a lot of changes at Billericay over the last few weeks ( with Glenn Tamplin, the owner, seemingly quitting the Club ! ). The only ex-U's I can see that are still playing for them are Alan Julian & Moses Emmanuel........One 'known name' familiar to us is our old foe from Hemel......Jordan Parkes

It would however appear that he really means it this time, according to this most recent press release from the club's website... www.billericaytownfc.co.uk/32560-2/
