Not there but sounds like we need to give our other keeper a chance to shine !

I do not condone graffiti but I am sure there is a wall with writing on it somewhere.

They do say the definition of Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results

Had the 38 travelling Sutton fans witnessed this performance in any of the last three seasons we'd have shrugged off the 1-0 defeat. But such is the club's parlous position in both the league and form tables, and given that for the penultimate five minutes Barrow played with ten men, and for the final five effectively with nine men (two of their players having been injured after all substitutions had been made, one soldiering on despite being unfit), we have to be extremely disappointed with the result.
Our players again put in a good shift but, in a game of few chances, Barrow took one of theirs and we took none of ours. There may have been an element of luck about their goal, as I hear that the ball deflected in off Craig Eastmond. But sometimes you have to create your own luck. Having played most of the match with a lone striker (Bugiel then Jarvis) we did change to two up front for the last twenty minutes (Wright on for Barden), but still couldn't find the net. The harsh truth is that we've now only scored two goals in seven league games (and both of those were in a match in which the opposition scored three).
Today's results leave us in 23rd place with just Chorley below us. Even if we somehow manage a win at Torquay in a fortnight's time we'd still be in the bottom four. 🙁

They finished with 10 men on the pitch, the 5 did not go off.

From the commentary i heard we played well but couldn't find the back of the net. I have my concerns about Butler being off form but will wait to see the highlights on their goal. Meanwhile Bugiel went off with a hamstring problem and if he is to be out for any length of time we need to bring in a target man on loan.

Well so much for my good feeling about today’s match ! The League table now looks very bad for us , five points adrift . One prediction I feel I will safely get correct is that there will soon be released a video of MG describing how unlucky we were ( yet again ) . Starting to feel very much like Groundhog Day . How did you guess? MG tells us how lucky the other manager is feeling - again. You will have the time next Saturday to buy that lottery ticket.

I don't get the unlucky bit, we have scored 2 goals in our last 7 league matches, that is 1 goal every 5hrs-15min that is simply appalling, and has nothing to do with luck, its called being sh*t up front. Its about time that issue was resolved or as sure as eggs is eggs this ship will sink!
I would much rather concentrate on that issue, the odd error by Jamie Butler or flukey goal is not going to make sod all difference if we don't score any goals. The stats don't lie, the goals are still 24ft wide and 8ft tall, we need to start hitting that target.
It maybe confidence, shooting too early or dwelling too long, it maybe that Matt has constantly changed the striker setup, some players need to settle, partnerships take time to gel, every time I look we have something different up top. It could be that Tommy Wright and Co are now totally crap, but I doubt it?

It's very strange. Still true Billy. There is a white-board visible behind Matt in his pre-match interviews, of which only the bottom half is visible: of the list on it only the last item can be read <work rate>. Matt also mentions work rate in most post match interviews. Here is a suggestion, cross that out and replace it with <composure>. Half the goals on MOTD seem to go through the keeper's legs or within 2 feet of them. It isn't necessary to aim past his full stretch dive. Matt is happy that we are creating chances but our shooting is dreadful - most of our attempts miss the goal - requiring no save from the keeper. Our players with a shooting chance seem to 1/ lash it as hard as they can or 2/ aim just inside the post - it is lack of composure, and that also afflicts players crossing from the wing - without looking.
