Football Jim, but not as we know it.
Wow Solihull are good at would they do, its a sort of cross between WWF, Basketball and the LUFTWAFFE -
We can take it - fantastic at the back today - I really wouldn't want to watch the crap football Solihull play week in week out!

We do miss Eastmond, no doubt. What team in the league wouldn’t?!
Thought Solihull were one of the better sides we have played, though their finishing was obviously a little awry. Very physical, lots of set pieces and I’d imagine very difficult to play against. They should have won.
The best you can say about our performance was we were pretty well battered and kept them to nil, no mean feat. Good effort, good battling. A point gained. A little surprised we didn’t try and get the ball down a bit more and felt we played into their hands. We could have been a bit braver and tried to play from the back, particularly 2nd half when we were getting dominated. To my mind we couldn’t have lost anything from trying. Any way of getting Ajiboye in the game regularly would potentially have reaped rewards. Surprised also we didn’t make any changes. Not sure we imposed or tried hard enough to impose our game on them today. But as mentioned above not an easy opposition to play against and perhaps on balance the management was happy keeping it tight and taking a point.

I think that the highlights should be of the use of the elbows and a copy sent to Mr Dale, it would appear that they didn’t come here to play football but to just take the p-ss and get a point. Further to the conduct of Solihull I seem to remember that when they played Kelty Hearts last September in the Tunnoch’s Cup some of the comments from Kelty fans were in the region of, we were kicked off the pitch, terrible playing. Solihull had 15 fouls and 4 yellow cards to Kelty’s 7 and 4 respectively.

Totally agree with the sentiments that it was a point gained and not two lost .
As for the post by “os” , that made me laugh out loud . Nice one !

Rumours flying about that Tim Flowers has quit as manager of Solihull after their 6-2 defeat to Tamworth in their local county cup game, off the back of a defeat at home to Boreham Wood and going out of the trophy at home to Darlington. Nothing official yet though. Seems like we were only a few days out www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51281214

Wow, if thats anything other than Flowers leaving due to interest from a league club id be very surprised. The 'football' solihull play may be taking the rules of the game to their extreme limit, and an utter eyesore, but you can't deny he's taken the club along way and made them one of the hardest to beat sides in the NL over the past few seasons.
I'll admit that the level of cheating I've witnessed from flowers'side in the last two visits to GGL has made me utterly dispise the club but there's a begrudging respect there too, and I'll admit there arent many avenues available to making a side successful at this level. Highly physical, direct side? yes. Borderline cheating? Yes. good manager? Clearly yes. Would I come and watch that kind of football? Probably not but solihulls average attendances suggest alot of newcomers did.

I suspect that Solihull's recent decline in form has something to do with his departure. They finished as runners-up to Orient last season, and briefly topped the table early in this campaign, but have only won one of their last ten games, slipping out of the play-off places. Failing to win at GGL may have been the final nail in the coffin. I'm no fan of Moors' style of play, but if that is the explanation then it's another examnple of the short-termism that blights the game today.

Probably not but solihulls average attendances suggest alot of newcomers did. I'd say there's probably slightly less respect from me. I hear Solihull have a very competitive budget for this league - if not the highest, then it's right up there. They had a significant amount pumped in mid way last season. Players like Callum Howe (who reportedly signed from Harrogate for a club record fee) and Paul McCallum don't come cheap. Aside from the money invested, they also have a decent income from Birmingham City reserves and Women's side. Whilst not quite as underperforming as other big spenders like Fylde, there's an obvious expectation from Board and fans alike that with the resources they have, maybe 9th at the moment isn't being measured as success. I believe the differences between their budget and ours is more significant than the 4 points currently between us suggests. Some teams play ugly but as has been said here time and time again, this is a results business. If teams play ugly and are successful as a result, you can bet others will go for a similar approach!

Agree with Andy K. Another club that has been spending shedloads so performing way below expectations this season. Would have been one of the title favourites at the start of the season. I wouldn’t have backed against them making play offs under Flowers (and not will I with his replacement), they’re not far off. Clearly the decision makers have felt something wasn’t quite right and they’re going for someone different.
