Although I agree you can be right footed and play on the left in my opinion it generally works better if you are left footed. You might expect players of a high standard to be able to kick with both feet but even in the Premier league that is not the case.

You might expect players of a high standard to be able to kick with both feet but even in the Premier league that is not the case. This is very important, but disregarded by many coaches. Ideally a striker wants to see 4 things: the crosser of the ball, the ball, the goal and the keeper - all in his field of view without the need to turn his head or look away from any of them. There has been negligible service of this type to U's front men this season. Converting a cross which is coming over your shoulder is much more difficult, and that is what you usually get from a player cutting inside from the wing to use his 'inside' foot.

I’m just glad he has two feet attached to two very fast moving legs !
On a serious note , I am delighted that our gaffer has now officially ( or so it seems) abandoned his earlier no loan signings policy . This and the results and performances we have been getting over the last couple of months give me real hope for the future under his guidance .
