Interesting thread regarding the ground and ownership issues currently affecting our old Isthmian and Conf South friends.

Very interesting read.
I covered a game @the ground in the 2000/01 season - I think if I remember correctly it was:
Basingstoke v Farnborough (NLS - these days).
Back then it was the Ryman Premier I believe.

Our last competitive game before the start of the National League South took place at the Camrose. I believe we won 5-0 or 5-1 (we certainly scored 5 that day), to cement ourselves in 2nd place in the old Ryman league after going on a fantastic run from November.
We also opened the ill fated 2007/8 season there (not surprisingly to a defeat). The ground and the club were very entwined with our recent history and it's a little sad to see their decline - 15 or so years ago they were quite comparable to where we were.

It was 5-0. I remember it well, because it was the last game I missed before my daughter was born more than 13 years later! (One game in almost 16 years isn't too bad.)
Tony Quinton scored a hat-trick, which I was sorry to have missed.
Other than Sutton, Basingstoke are the team I've seen play the most (34 times) because we've been in the same division so much over the last 25 or so years. They're one of only a handful of teams who have been in the Conference South every season we have (who can name the other three?). So they are a club we know very well and I've been following their situation with interest.

Havant & W, Maidenhead U and Weston S M Can hardly believe I'm saying this to you Frakey but that's not quite right. 2/3, but Maidenhead were relegated in 2005-06, coming back up at the end of the following season so we had one year without them.

Was off the top of my head; I wouldn't be too surprised at me making the odd error these days.
The naughties in particular are not my strongest subject.

Just in case you weren't sure, that was definitely a compliment!
By the way, the 3rd club is Eastbourne - they are particularly good at being in the division whenever we are, as not only did they go up the year we went down but they also went back down the year we came back up.
