Striker Shawn Lyle makes it 3-0 for SCR, again from the penalty spot. Very comfortable win, should have been 3 or 4 up at half-time but for some wayward finishing.

Shame I'll be away for the preliminary round tie at home to Broadfields Utd on Saturday 12 September, assuming GGL will be ready for fans...

We’ll all be at Haringey anyway on the 12th I’d imagine

As I might have said before the rules are quite complicated. We are working closely with SCR and would hope that they can have spectators for the FA Cup even if we are still prohibited from letting fans in for Sutton games.

Thanks for the clarification, davef. I distinctly recall you saying something similar before.

Well done to SCR for their comprehensive 4-0 demolition of Broadfields at GGL today. Onwards to the 1st qualifying round for only the 2nd time in their history..

All credit to those at SCR and anyone else involved in organising today. It was very clear what spectators could and couldn’t do and where we could and couldn’t go. I felt completely safe.
A good performance as well and I’ve already seen the “goal of the season” courtesy of Danny Fernandez.

A bit disappointing I think. 60-80 perhaps, maybe less.

I suspect that was down to Haringey away, as localboy intimated earlier.

Watched Stockbridgr v Stalybridge on the red button yesterday,Entertaining game with a crowd of 350.Social distancing was ignored by a large proportion of the crowd and a Stalybridge player was booked for his goal celebration with a large group of fans behind the goal.Very stupid and i am sure the FA will be looking at this.Just hope it doesnt spoil things for other clubs!

Interesting couple of nights in the Cup this week and still a fair few ties to be played tonight. A spate of Isthmian Prem sides being dumped out, Kingstonian losing at Horsham last night, Leatherhead (Chertsey), Worthing (East Grinstead) and Enfield Town (Peterborough Sports) all lost penalty shoot-outs to lower opposition. Lewes and Margate out also. Haringey who we played a couple of weeks ago won convincingly at home.
Locally Whyteleafe and Corinthian Casuals won through, Chipstead snuck through on penalties but Merstham slipped out.
Our tenants SCR ‘host’ Met Police this evening.
