Got to admit i'm baffled by that. Why did so many of our season ticket holders not take up the option of watching the game and just 117 others which include Maidenhead supporters . Had the stream running into my laptop then transferred by HDMI on to the TV. I expect it's because not every season ticket holder goes to every game, even when we are allowed in. Also, as many have mentioned, a livestream is really an approximation of the game. There will be many (including season ticket holders who post on here) who won't want to watch it or chose the audio only commentary via mixlr so they could do other things at the same time. In addition there will be small (hopefully!) groups who might watch together.

Couple of additional comments.... not sure if this has been the case as well in the televised Premier and Championship games, but i feel without the baying of the crowd there are less Red and yellow cards being banded about by referees. Only a single yellow yesterday a casing point. Normally i feel that there would have 2 or 3 more yellow card in yesterdays game
Secondly have Aldershot brought up our redundant first team kit from previous years. Watching the highlights show I thought we'd played twice yesterday!

Behind Closed Doors ?
How many "Sutton United people" apart from the playing and management teams, watched the game from inside the closed doors yesterday please ? Or is it a secret?

As your underlying query is about how many people were inside the ground, not about “Sutton United people”, I would suggest that there were various newspaper reporters, directors of Maidenhead and I dare say a sprinkling of National League personnel. What is it about numbers inside GGL that you have problem with, I just don’t get it 🤷🏼♂️

I thought there were several times during yesterday's game when the ref could have blown up but instead let play progress. It's refreshing when a referee doesn't make the match all about them, something of a rarity at GGL! Match ref Sunny Gill impressed me overall. He was clearly aware of the history between Omar Bugiel and James Comley (the latter being the rat from Montserrat whose simulation last season got Omar sent off, later rescinded, quite rightly) and had a serious word with both during the game. Sensible reffing that, long may it continue.

Omar was left on the ground on a few occasions mostly off the ball. Think they were trying to wind him up. It did as he was everywhere yesterday and deservedly earned motm.
Ref did ok but his lenient approach meant he let a couple of dodgy tackles go. Seen a lot worse though.
Interestingly across the NL, the card count was well down. The lack of a vociferous home support perhaps?

To be fair, billy's concern for the environment is commendable. He even recycles his posts.

I managed to stream most of this match. But even as a season ticket holder I find it difficult, in a domestic setting, to devote two mid-afternoon hours to just looking at one thing on a pc screen, uninterrupted. I might switch back to the audio commentary, some of the time. And, as I have said before, much as I appreciate the streaming being there it does still seem quite a distance from the real experience.

Have to say I was very impressed with yesterday's feed. I was able to simultaneously keep an eye on the Warrington Rylands v York City FA cup game with no discernible lag.
Thank goodness for SUFCTV!
