Still too many questions for me a) What will the league's position be on this? b) What will the various clubs position be on this c) How does this affect government support especially regarding clubs in Tier 3 compared to other tiers d) As DaveF hinted at earlier, will clubs have appropriate protocols to meet the restrictions (and will advice change or be the same from the FA) e) Will it be for home fans only (in terms of travel between Tiers, which already needs clarification) f) Will this apply to Wrexham (who of course are in Wales and therefore have different regulations) g) Will Boreham Wood adopt Tier 3 even if the region is in Tier 1 as they have no fans anyway! It's a sign in the right direction, but I think if we're already assuming that we are going to be back in the ground for the Solihull game, I'd manage your expectations because you may end up being disappointed, although if all the hurdles were passed and it was down to our club to make sure we meet the requirements, I fully expect them to do it as best they can. The Wrexham issue is irrelevant for us as we will not play them post lockdown unless we draw them in the trophy. Rules will be different in Wales. They do not have the 3 tier system. Bearing in mind current Government support some clubs will be significantly worse off if it ceases when fans are allowed back in (or not) dependent upon the 3 tiers. Nothing to say that a team in tier 1 couldn’t be in tier 3 a week later.

So the question is can I attend GGL if its deemed home fans only? I'm a home fan but I live in a Tier 3 area!

For what it's worth, here are the government's reconstituted tier restrictions in place from Wednesday 2 December. I will refrain from attempting to interpret them, especially because in the past, some people have added their own layer of discretion to the rules (aka. the Cummings slip rule) which tends to make things even less transparent... www.gov.uk/guidance/local-restriction-tiers-what-you-need-to-know#very-high-alert

My first reaction was - good news but 2000 seems a bit many? I dont understand how we can go from not allowing anyone in to suddenly that figure when cases are actually rising in Sutton for the first time in months! I would come back if say 1000 are allowed but might give the first game a miss to be honest if 2000 are allowed in. You would not be missed, very clear from your attitude that the atmosphere gets worse wherever you go.

I think that's one of the unknown questions - I expect that will be a league decision but I would expect that they will probably say live streaming can only take place if the games is played behind closed doors.

Just to clarify - from the perspective of the Club Covid Officer - I have no bloomin' idea what will happen !
Crowd/No Crowd - Capacity - Away Fans/No Away Fans - Live Streaming Just some of the questions I hope will be clarified over the next few days.

Crowd/No Crowd - Capacity - Away Fans/No Away Fans - Live Streaming Just some of the questions I hope will be clarified over the next few days. You should have seen it on a SUFC Fans FB group. The social media team posted a graphic saying "Super Saturday" and talking about 5th Dec. Because they posted it yesterday (and which they deleted later on), there was an assumption that you guys knew all about this weeks ago and that fans are automatically back in. I did try and correct them that everything is unknown, including what Tier Sutton will fall into. Mind you, at least as a club we didn't have to temper the expectations of the manager, like another well known boss to us.. (read Havant's response!)

If Sutton goes into tier 3 on Wednesday 2 December, then under the reconstituted tier restrictions [see above for link], elite outdoor sport will continue but without spectators. I would therefore hope/expect that live streaming would continue under such circumstances, but no way of knowing which tier Sutton will be put into unless and until the government makes an official announcement on that score..

Nobody should ever be made to feel that what they're comfortable with in terms of keeping safe in a pandemic is somehow wrong. You have no idea what his personal circumstances are. I don't care how serious you're being, your words will have the same effect regardless and anyone who talks like that will certainly lose a lot of my respect.

London in tier 2, so we should have football back at GGL on the 5th December.
Can clubs in tier 3 play away to clubs in tier 2?

Unfortunately it is a lot more complicated than that and it might be Tuesday or Wednesday before we can provide definite information.

The more I've thought about it, the more complicated it seems to me. I'm determinedly not getting excited!
