Excellent result....they did not have a single shot on target and, but for some excellent work from the Weymouth keeper, we could have won by 3 or 4.
Olaofe and Sho-silva make for a threatening front 2 and Randall was excellent-David A had quieter game by his standards. The team were very assured at the back.

The live stream from Weymouth is rather grainy (not enough pixels?), but at least the camera is tracking the action. Their commentary ain't bad. You have to pay a premium for extra pixels...

Lovely start. It was good listening up to the point they said 6 minutes added time! Could have been more comfortable but sounded like a decent performance. Tuesday should be interesting, great to go into that match with some confidence.

Delighted with the result and an excellent start to the season - that dressing room must be buzzing tonight!
I have to ask as I can't recall - when did Sutton last win their first 3 games of a season?

The 'shots on target' stats given in stoppage time certainly told their own story: Sutton 8 Weymouth 0.
The two keepers earned plaudits, Dean Bouzanis with his sweeping and kicking and the home stopper Jack Bycroft (on loan from Southampton) with a string of fine saves. But he was eventually beaten after making another save, Will Randall picking up the loose ball and rifling home.
You can't argue with an 100% record from our first three games. And we stay 2nd. Some might point out that our opponents so far are all expected to finish in the bottom half next May. Notts County on Tuesday should provide more of a test.

I was just trying to work that out myself localboy. I remember we made a very good start in 1996-97 but I think the last time we started with 3 wins was probably before my time (and I'm coming up to 25 years next month).
I also thought Weymouth's live stream was pretty good: although the picture quality left something to be desired, the commentary was excellent. As was Weymouth's keeper, unfortunately for us, but since we got all the points I can't complain.
Edit: I misremembered, thanks to Jared for pointing out that in 2005-06 we won our first five!

I remember a brilliant start at the time Joff Vansittart and Hynes played upfront. Maybe that lines up with your season there.

Many compliments to Weymouth on their live stream, I have to agree that the commentator was as unbiased as you could wish to find. I'm glad there weren't even more minutes added, as I only just had time to nip out after the final whistle to cut my lawn before the heavens opened. Have a nice weekend everybody. Attachments:

With 3 wins out of 3 and only letting in one goal this season we are still not top. Although Hartlepool who are beat Aldershot 2-1 and a few v Maidenhead without reply!

I have to ask as I can't recall - when did Sutton last win their first 3 games of a season? We won our first five games in 2005/06. (That also began with an emphatic home victory over Maidenhead.) Unfortunately our form deteriorated badly later in the season.

Cracking start to the season. I thought for the first 15- 20 mins the match was fairly even although Weymouth never threatened our goal. After that we took control and didn't their keeper have a great game. Weymouth are not a bad side but they run out of ideas in the final third. After that i watched Dagenham take on Wealdstone. Dire game with very little quality. Notts County will be a real test for us on Tuesday and will give us a good idea of how strong our team is this season.
Weymouth's streaming was far better than Aldershot's although picture quality was average. Commentary was excellent though apart from Barden's change of name at half time !

Admittedly the three teams that we've beaten don't look to be in the stronger half of this league. But taking maximum points from those kind of matches is not so easy and not something that we've always been able to do. Especially with two of the matches being Away. Good stuff!

Can't grumble at all at 3 excellent wins to get the season rolling, yes time may tell that the 3 we have beaten will not be challenging for the title. Having said that the way the side have gone about those 3 matches has been the sign of the team that just might be able to challenge the leading contenders.
Apart from that dodgy 15-20 min spell at Shots on Tuesday, when we probably gave them a little too much respect, the tactics have been bang on the money. What I liked about todays match was the level of control we had, from 1st to last minute, and as a good team normally does found the goal at the right time too.
So top marks so far, play like that on Tuesday and Notts will be in a game..
