Wayne Brown not in the match squad again. Haven't heard of him being injured so presume he is just not in favour.

Shame. Battled hard. Defensively largely untroubled which bodes well. Didn’t create much either. Terrible goal to concede in injury time. I thought when Barden turned back when he had opportunity to knock it channel absolutely no need for that, gives a chance of a mistake and then it came. Thought a point each was about right. Notts ran out of ideas 2nd half.

That was a pity. Sutton 0-1 Notts It was. We deserved a point and had the better of the second half. A very poor kick to clear his area with seconds to go by U's keeper went straight to one County forward and though his effort was blocked his partner found the net. The game derserved better than to be decided by a mistake of that nature.

Barden was excellent tonight but should have knocked the ball up the channel at that stage of the game.

A bit gutted, but considering the start of the season we can't complain.

Goal came from one of a number of poor clearances from the keeper. Thought Milson was very good tonight. Was that County’s only second shot on target?

Maybe a bit of complacency at the death there. Both sides were settling for 0-0, and the final whistle was about to go. I'm sure Matt will be impressing on the players that you don't relax until you hear it blown.

A draw would of been a fare result because Both sides created very little, so a bit of a sickener too lose like that but we will be fine. Still a long way to go..

Very frustrating. Even though Notts dominated possession in the 1st half, they created no real chances. We defended with great discipline and kept County at a distance. The work rate was very impressive from all.
Much better from us in the second half with a few half chances created and Notts certainly seemed to weaken in the last quarter of the game. A shame for Barden as he was my MOM along with Coby Rowe. Aside from the goal itself, they only mustered 1 shot on target. (Then again we didn't exactly pepper their goal either!)
Over 1200 watching the stream so some much needed readies for the club.

Although disappointing to give away that goal, overall that was another really decent performance. Apart from the error at the end which will even itself out over the season, I didn't really think we put a foot wrong. I really like the way the team is playing, Matt has them so measured, starting on a low heat, drawing the oppositions sting and then tightening the noose as the game goes on. We may not have got anything tonight, but then Notts are a very good side who needed a large slice of luck to win tonight. Matt is playing a very classy game, and as we are not perfect you can expect mistakes when you don't just whack up the park, but its a long term winner. Also excellent streaming tonight in HD (they did it in 720p, didn't want to risk 1080p), a lot of people paid to watch it which is great for the club. Oh Yeah! To the person at the club who once said to me "If I had 5k I wouldn't spend it on a TV service"- I have a memory like an elephant

Now some of the disappointment of last night’s finale has faded I thought I’d add some additional credit. We are doing fantastically well as a club to be competing/matching up to a club such as Notts County. Defensively we’re looking very good and that’s with 2 midfielders dropping into the back 4, plus a couple of others in their infancy at this level. Also, as has been said, Barden is performing exceptionally well as right back to the extent it seems to be a permanent move rather than the stop gap that initially appeared likely. Credit to the management and players, taking our 2nd half of last season into this one. We are a significant step ahead of this stage of last season and are looking like being very tough to beat.

That hurt last night. Probably our only mistake of the night. If Notts C end up being the cream of the crop this season however, we've got nothing to worry about. That was a really solid performance, and although we certainly deserved a draw, there were enough individual performances last night to fill me with confidence. I thought Wyatt was especially good last night (one tackle he made in the 2nd half was Bobby Moore-esque) and good to see Ajiboye starting to show the form of last season, even though the teams are more wise to him. I'm still with Randall as my player of the season so far, again his consistency is cracking.
Disappointed with the result, but not the performance. Keep going lads.

I didn't get much sleep last night, such was the disappointment. All that effort and we get nothing to show from it. Thought Notts knocked the ball round nicely in the first half without creating much but we were the better team in the second half and had several chances but for the strikers to scuff/hurry their attempts. I thought to a man they all played well although Dean's kicking was poor. I agree that Randall has been excellent although I want to single out someone else. Because he's so good he seems to get ignored as his performances are taken for granted. I would say that Craig Eastmond has been utterly brilliant so far given that he's playing out of position. Coby must be learning so much from him.

Yeah, I take solace in the fact that we conceeded a last minute, screw up, goal to a decent team like County who should, at least in theory, have the beating of us. Just need to learn from it.
Otherwise, as others have said, we're looking good.
