Following the fortunes of Sutton for many years albeit from a distance (only getting to any actual games every few years), our current league position raises the question of ambition ! If at some stage we do actually win promotion, what will we do ? The club has given great value to its faithful supporters over the years, are we happy with that or is there the desire to step up if we do get the opportunity!

We've had this discussion before, not least in the 17/18 season when Sutton had a few spells at the top of the NL table and finished in a play-off position.
I very much doubt that the club's attitude to promotion has changed, i.e. the step up would be demanding and costly but nobody would want to turn down the opportunity should it arise.
Long way to go yet of course.

They certainly wouldn't want to turn it down because if we did we would actually get relegated to the National League South. I dare say there would also be uproar from other clubs.
We would have to develop the ground and put in additional seating like Barrow have been doing but you to get grants for some of that.

During the relatively short period of time I have been a shareholder, the number of shares available in the club was doubled following our promotion to the National League, for the express purpose of consolidating our position. I understand that plans are currently in place to double the number of shares available in this club again, which if approved, will assist significantly in our push for promotion to the Football League. Make no mistake, the opportunity for promotion and the desire to seize that opportunity is here!
