Well done lads! The will to win is out standing, at two one heads could drop but did they no, they just went up a gear and Simpsons goal was a peach. Great too see fans back in the ground so, “UP THE US”.

Outstanding result against a very good Solihull team.

Yep, albeit on a pc screen (banned from having a Kentish postcode), that was as good a showing since decimating Woking on New Years Day. Against pretty good albeit somewhat brutal opponents. Front men outstanding and as for our sub right back cum marauding midfielder...what a strike! Very very good day all round

Official attendance was 934. An absolute pleasure to be able to type that. Edit: I wasn't one of the 934. Tier 3 and all that.

Our best performance of the season. We not only controlled the game for a good 75 min out of the 90 but we scored 4 against a side who before today had only let in 5 goals all season (in 8 games). And worth noting too that for all the "not ruthless enough up front" comments we've had, we're the 2nd highest scorers in the league.
First goal was comedy. The other 3 were superb. Although the last goal was spectacular, my goal of the match was Sho-Silvas. The lead up play with Ajiboye was top drawer stuff. In fact my MoM was Ajiboye who was back to his best today, even if the Solihull players tried to hack him out of the game. They couldn't compete.
As for being at the game. Not only was it great to be back but even better seeing all of those familiar faces round the ground. Class moment from AB playing "Welcome Home" by Peters and Lee at half time. I actually welled up a little because it was just a perfect song for a perfect moment.
And credit to the 934 that came today. A few forgot what social distancing was or the need for a mask or not to change ends, but it was a very small number, and almost understandable given the joy they must have felt being back at GGL. One we've all shared today.

Exceptional performance against certainly one of the best sides we’ve faced this season (if not best). Would expect them to be play offs at least. We defended very well and not sure our keeper had a save to make despite the fact they felt quite threatening.
Ajiboye and Olaofe can be frightening!
A ref from a bygone era and I would like to give him great credit. Certainly didn’t fall for any amateur dramatics and didn’t blow for the little touch and throw yourself to the ground thing which always gets a free kick these days - bravo! Game was better for it and flowed nicely in the main. People might argue for stronger action on the odd occasion but all in all I thought it was good to see!
Great to be back, so glad it wasn’t a disappointment!!

Absolutely on the ref! Thought he was excellent - took no theatrics from either side and wish more refs were like him. The choreography of a touch or even a less than friendly glance and you fall down to win a free kick as your “right” sticks in my craw

Great for the fans to be back at last, and today's result was a real treat for them but also a statement. Solihull are a physical side but also a skilful one, and are rightly among the fancied runners this season. This afternoon we scored some cracking goals against them, with Simpson's the pick of the bunch. (Has Matt been deliberately keeping our secret weapon on the bench?) The team played really well from back to front, Craig Eastmond unlucky not to score himself but denied by superb work from visiting keeper Ryan Boot. David Ajiboye had his best game of the season so far, making our second goal and scoring the third. We stay 2nd but are six points clear of third-placed Notts County.

The choreography of a touch or even a less than friendly glance and you fall down to win a free kick as your “right” sticks in my craw I actually thought the ref was quite poor. The lack of his use of cards was quite astonishing given some of the cynical fouls. Ajiboye was constantly fouled being pulled back and Sho Silva was also having his shirt pulled a fair bit. He also missed the kick out on Davis in the first half (similar to Beckham in the World Cup). Ajiboye getting booked for getting to his feet after an awful challenge was a joke. The bloke was standing right over him. Anyway what a fantastic performance from the lads. Let’s continue this form on Tuesday

Don't think anyone should be surprised at today's performance, I knew it was in there. This is the best technically gifted Sutton side I have seen. We have pace, and goal threats all over the field, add to that after a small blip defensive quality, it means no team can bomb forward against us and not worry.
I have been saying Matt hadn't quite got the engine tuned but today he got the power out, and you know what I think there are still a few extra horses under that bonnet.
I know fans are overjoyed when we score, but please it is not understanding to break social distancing in any circumstances. Those of you who were they today were very lucky to be there.

The players welcomed back the fans with the perfect performance! It has been a recurrent criticism of U's that we hire non-scoring forwards, and as a result a midfielder is often our top scorer. Not today. This was the match when the shooting matched the approach play. Even Craig, who manages to hit a few first time volleys from distance in most games. Though he did not score, he forced the keeper into a good save from all his efforts in this match.
Aaron Simpson:I had to check his listing in the squad, yes it does say 'defender'. Aaron is the opposite of the Duke of Plaza-Toro, he 'does his defending from in front, he finds it more exciting'. When he came on he seemed to be part of a four-man forward line and he scored the goal of the game.
