To everyone that attended yesterday's game, I hope that you enjoyed it and, more importantly, you felt safe. We would like to thank everyone who attended and also for 95% of you observing 95% of the rules ! If we improve on that on Tuesday it would be great ! (A special thank you to the "noisy mob", who observed my request to not constantly chant or sing - difficult when we played so well.) One request though, can more people please use the Collingwood Road end, we need a more even split of spectators around the ground if we are going to be able to accommodate bigger crowds Finally, a request for feedback. If you felt there were things that could be done differently please email me direct: dave.farebrother@suttonunited.net On to Tuesday....

Yes I thought the experience yesterday was handled very well, obviously a lot of planning went on before hand thanks to all concerned. The attendance yesterday 900 odd,due to restrictions, it made me think back just a few years when 600 was considered a good crowd, just shows how the club has grown.

A touch of irony in the fact that the steward patrolling behind the GGL goal, continually asking people to wear a mask as they walked around, wasn’t wearing a mask. (I’m sure he had a perfectly valid exemption.) 😉

I will raise that with the stewarding company but, as you say, he may have a valid exemption.

I did not attend the game yesterday as i am in a high risk group.over 65 and have type 1 diabetes.I enjoyed the live stream and well done to the team and all the staff. As regards to the steward not wearing a mask the following observation.Wearing a mask stops you infecting others but does NOT prevent those not wearing a mask infecting you.The steward not wearing a mask may have a valid exemption but that does not prevent them infecting you! They should not be in a customer facing enviroment.

I thought that the Scotch Egg Stall was badly sign-posted. I couldn't find it anywhere...

I was particularly impressed with how swiftly fans were processed into the ground. There was quite a queue along Gander Green Lane about 15 minutes before kick-off, but it moved so rapidly that by the time I'd joined the back of the queue and texted to forewarn friends of the queue length I was already in! I don't know if there's a Guinness World Record for fastest moving queue, but I reckon we smashed it yesterday.

I don't know if there's a Guinness World Record for fastest moving queue, but I reckon we smashed it yesterday. We noticed that the queues were growing at Gander Green Lane around five minutes before you stated you joined the queue so we instigated additional people to scan tickets at the GGL end about twenty minutes before kick-off so we got the queue cleared very quickly as you state trev and everybody that had arrived by time of kick-off were in the ground at kick-off As Dave F said we need more people to use the Collingwood Road End of the ground - if your e-mail says entry via Collingwood Road please can we politely ask that you try to use the Rec entrance if possible to ease the overload that was seen at Gander Green Lane end yesterday (there is a footpath that runs down the rec side of the ground and is only an additional two minutes walk) - for every six people coming through GGL we only had one going through Collingwood

Nice work, Robbo! My ticket said Gander Green Lane as does my ticket for the Chesterfield game, but to be honest Collingwood Road would be more convenient for me - given what you say about the Rec entrance being underused by a ratio of about 6:1 on Saturday, would it be okay if I used the Collingwood Rec entrance on Tuesday, even though my ticket says GGL?

Of course - we just need to try to get a good balance between the two sets of entrances. The club learnt lessons from yesterday which will help us to further improve supporters experiences for Tuesday night.

Just to say, in addition to what Dave F and Rob have already said, if your ticket says Gander Green Lane and you're closer to Collingwood Road, you're more than welcome to use the turnstiles there... We wouldn't turn you away 😉

I think maybe the people not using the away end was either
Setting sun in their eyes
Huge puddle to get round
The getting in the ground was easy and very efficient
I went to the SCR game on Sunday One turnstile Then one person the other side with temperature checker and either a hand written sign in or nhs track barcode
I think it took 15 mins to get about 25 people in ....

The reason I went on Saturday and will do tomorrow is my trust and faith in the club. Bearing in mind it was literally the trial run on Saturday, I think as fans we should applaud the club - it shows how much work and planning they put in to get us in the ground that the only thing people could be critical of was one steward not wearing a mask!
I was at the GGL end until about 10 min from kick off. When it became obvious there were a few people who didn't understand what social distancing was, I decided to move over the Collingwood Road end and stayed there for the entire game. My enjoyment wasn't spoilt one bit and will happily move to any part of the ground where there are less people.
Not only was it a top performance on the pitch on Saturday, but one off the pitch to all those involved behinds the scenes.

Maybe the steward was exempt from wearing a mask? I have this conundrum every day going to work on the train. Some people have conditions that are invisible to the naked eye.
I'm so glad to hear that everyone I've heard enjoyed the game. Some day I'll be out of tier three and be able to go and watch a game!
But I would happily stay at home and sacrifice my chance of getting to a match if it meant many more others can.

Hi Dave / Rob, one of our regular supporters spoke to me at the SCR game yesterday, and told me he hasn’t got a computer able to print a ticket, so couldn’t come on Saturday. I advised him to turn up early tomorrow, and speak to someone on the ticket / test table. I told him that I was sure the club would be able to help him.
