We should be able to, but he still needs to buy his ticket in advance.

Two things from last nights game. I noticed both from the burger bar at the Collingwood Road end. Firstly as a cashless club i saw they were taking cash and secondly the sauces plastic jars were on the bar of the van for all and sundry to use and possibly pass on any virus !

One thing I noticed from last night was a significant number of people "changing ends" at half time, even though they were instructed not to do so.

Burger Van. The card machines cannot always make contact. So the options are either refuse the sale or take cash in a safe way (cash is not illegal, just discouraged). The sauces is an easier one to solve and I will talk to the caterers about that.
Changing Ends. We are two games into the new regime that we have to follow, hopefully everyone will start to adopt the guidelines. In terms of where you stand in the ground it is very simple. Choose where you want to be and stay there, do not change ends at half time. We KNOW that's not what people want but the alternative is that the capacity gets cut, whereas we want to be able to demonstrate that it can be increased. We could use the segregation gates but that's not something we want to do. Social distancing on the terraces is mandatory, it is built into our capacity calculations, so we need an even spread of people around the stadium please. This way of operating is likely to be with us all season, and so long as everyone accepts that this is about the collective and not the individual we will have no problems.
Actually, I think most people have been really accommodating and helpful, even nice, about these restrictions; so thank you.

It certainly wasn't a criticism to what the club has done - it was just more apparent last night compared to Saturday. I went to the Collingwood Road end at the start of the game and stayed there, although I did consider moving at the start of the 2nd half as enough people came down (with some forgetting to social distance) for me to consider moving. I think you're bang right that the gates should be closed and hopefully it's something that people will realise and we won't have to do. Anyone who has been to Bromely or Maidenhead away in the last 2 seasons know you can still watch a game of football and not move!

Firstly it was lovely to be back (my first game, in) and thanks to everyone for what's been done.
The system seemed to run well and people, generally, seemed suitably spread out. I was a little suprised at the number of people who weren't wearing face masks, though. And I don't mean the 'kids', I mean the grown ups and a fair few over 60s.
Possibly the lowered capacity and distancing works both for and against, here? I'd guess the logic is 'I'm in the open air, some distance from the next person, not moving about and not facing anyone, therefore not much need for a mask'. Which thinking has logic to it.
It certainly didn't freak me out as a health concern. My main worry would be, if inspected, we're not going to match up to what's required of us, there.
Btw, I had a great time!

What bothered me was the number of people wearing their masks incorrectly (e.g. not covering the nose). They're useless if you don't wear them properly and they've been around all year - we should all know how to use them by now.
Once again I think the club had done a great job organising things to be as safe and enjoyable as possible. There's little more the club itself can do - it's down to us to follow the rules they put in place. I felt very uncomfortable at times in the second half when enough people changed ends to make the Collingwood Road end rather more crowded than it should have been. There were people standing less than a metre from me at times and remember it should be 2m if you're not wearing a mask.

One lady had her mask down by her chin for the whole journey on the bus. When she got off she covered up!! Unfortunately no matter what you do 100% of people won't conform. You have to be in North Korea for that. It's disappointing that people won't obey the announcements. Shutting the gate at the end of the terracing will stop people moving but really it shouldn't come to that and the selfish people should just obey the rules.

Hi kpinwp Just to let the know, the rules regarding the wearing of masks / face coverings at SUFC was printed in the "downloadable" programme last night, and this says : - Face coverings are mandatory when queuing to enter or exit, for the toilets or for the snack bars, or when moving around the ground. They are also mandatory in the grandstand So, it would explain why there appeared to so many people "standing around" NOT wearing them....hope that makes sense ?

All good, then. As I say, my only worry was about a potential 'inspection' and I obviously don't need to worry about it. Thanks!
