This has been such a difficult year for so many people in so many different ways. We were very saddened yesterday to learn that tragedy has struck close to home at this particularly emotive time of year. Earlier this month Clive Greatley, a regular Uโs supporter known to many, and his partner of 15 years, Jo, were both diagnosed with Covid-19. Earlier this week, aged just 47, Jo very sadly passed away. Clive is understandably grief-stricken, a situation exacerbated by Jo's father also recently passing away. One of Clive's close friends has set up a GoFundMe page to assist Clive in meeting the costs of the funeral and ongoing living expenses at a time when his income has also been hit hard. As a club we are really grateful for all the help that we have received from our supporters this year; this has been a year when the Sutton United family has shown its outstanding togetherness and so we hope to be able to help in a small way and promote this link to the GoFundMe page to support Clive at this very difficult time. Everyone at Sutton United sends our deepest sympathies to Clive and to their family and friends.

Donated. I don't know Clive, but having lost a loved one at this time of year (in 2015) my heart goes out to anyone who experiences this.
