A little bit of a "click bait" title, but having got to the ground yesterday I took advantage of its emptiness and grabbed a few photos from a slightly different angle than normal. Some of the compositions work a little better than others, but hey if anything it'll give you something different to look at whilst having your breakfast and enjoying the warm feeling of progressing in the FA Trophy. A great collection Paul, from Gander Green Lake. Gates locked, moat filled - and a sentry on guard to repel invaders.

Talking of views of GGL, does anyone know if any old photos exist of the ground from yesteryear (pre 1970)? I first set foot in the ground in the mid 70's when the stadium was oval in shape and the rec side had the 2 old wooden stands. I have seen views of the ground taken in January 1970 during the famous FA Cup tie against Leeds Utd but I cannot recall ever seeing the ground pictured before then.

Hi I don't know whether the club shop still has copies for sale, but one of our Centenary books - United In Pictures - does what it says on the tin. Several pre-1970 photos. They might not be great quality but I will take a few photos on my phone and email them to you. (or I can post them here if someone tells me how !)

Great photos Paul but a very scary reminder of how much work we need to do on the wonderful old ground that is GGL.
