Really hope this doesn’t materialise from our point of view at Sutton.

Sky Bet don’t have him amongst the 10 candidates and the bookies aren’t often far from the truth, not sure who this dude with 118 followers is but I won’t start worrying yet

Probably an agent getting a name out there. Shaping up for future move into the league. Would be surprised if a League One club came calling at this stage. Not to say Matt can’t end up there. Hopefully we’ll have these rumours a couple more years (at least) yet! And also hope I’m not wrong from a selfish perspective - obviously I do wish Matt every success and hope he achieves his ambitions!

If there is any vindication of how well Matt has done for us in the short time he's been here, it's rumours like this. I expect there's probably nothing to this one, and we've seen this time and time again (remember when Dos was "seen on a train at Wimbledon" bollocks). I've noticed those who decided after about 5 games that Matt Gray needed to be sacked because he was "terrible" have been very silent too.
From a totally practical point of view, if you were in Matt shoes would you join a club 23rd in League One, with the transfer window shut without a pre season to start building your own team, and just take on damage limitation rather than attempting to go for a title? I'm pretty sure Matt wouldn't be that silly, even if he was approached.

Ah the 'Matt Out' brigade. I am so glad he managed to shut them up. Third in the league ten points off top with four games in hand I suppose that he would be thought of by some league clubs.
I really hope that he says Cobblers to them though.

Odds shortened slightly to 14/1 when I checked earlier this morning, now 12/1. Hopefully that's not on account of any of our lot having a cheeky flutter. Lessons learned from P**gate etc.

A number of NL manager’s have been mentioned on the Northampton forum.
It appears that we may have been monitoring the Sutton United Manager for some time. So perhaps your suggestion that we have sacked KC without any idea of replacement just might be misplaced? Better to see how the situation unfolds first before implying criticism. The point is that KT can hardly make public that we are monitoring another Manager JIC Curle blows it!www.thehotelend.co.uk/

I really hope that he says Cobblers to them though. We don't need a Shoemaker, we have Bouzanis....

One of the reasons cited by Northampton supporters for wanting to get rid of Keith Curle was his recent poor use of substitutes. Hopefully Matt's inability to use ANY substitutes Tuesday night will put them off.

Those of us with long memories remember 2008 and the "who is going to be our manager" conversation. No one said Dos. Message boards are not a reliable source of information in these matters.
