Just to think we are probably entering the biggest month in our 125 history. We either going to blow it big time or grasp the opportunity to be a EFL club, something I never thought possible.
This Sunday is 40 years to the day, that the UK won the Eurovision with 'Makng Your Mind up' and we travelled to Bangor City in the semi final of the Trophy - A game similar to our previous one as we came back from 2-0 down in the last @10mins to get a 2-2 draw.

Morning.
These next two away games are the end of our consecutive matches away from GGL - and then I believe it’s home and away until the end of the season (there might be a back to back home game in that lot).
Should be close this afternoon.
Enjoy.

After today's game we've got twelve left, six home and six away. Three are against top seven sides, four against mid-table sides and five against bottom-seven sides.
There are two consecutive away games (Altrincham, Eastleigh) and two sets of consecutive home games (Barnet and Aldershot, Weymouth and Woking).
But first the matter in hand. When we last played at Boreham Wood, Tommy Wright struck a tight game's only goal. We'd settle for a similar outcome this afternoon.

Our strongest starting XI? But BW also start with a strong line-up.

We shouldn't be too harsh on BBC local radio, when the local press is now so woefully dogshit - here are the articles about Sutton United in the Sutton Guardian - or as they call themselves "Your local guardian" www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/sport/suttonunited/It's in depth and copious. If you support Brentford, obviously They’re only a pub team after all 🥱😴 Unbelievable! Suggest apprentice hacks are required to have a GCSE in Geography before appointment. Assuming that non-league does not count for this rag, then the Sutton and Croydon Guardian as they style themselves has 4 local Premier and EFL clubs to which readers might go. Fulham, Chelsea, Palace and Wimbledon. Brentford cannot be reached by public transport from Sutton and Croydon faster than these other grounds.

Our third 0-0 of the season. Not a game that will live long in the memory. A point away from home is still useful. Hartlepool's win earlier closed the gap to two points, but we have those three games in hand over them. They go to BW on Monday. Whatever the result in that match, if we draw at Solihull then we stay top.

In the knowledge that all the other games were going the wrong way for us, that was a nervy listen towards the end. I’ll take a draw though. Thirteen league games unbeaten and one step closer to heaven.

Glad to get a point but to be honest we created very little and BW had done their homework on us. Hopefully we will find a little more space at Solihull. The only surprise result today was Notts county beating Wrexham . On Monday Hartlepool try to break down BW's defences whilst Torquay travel to Wrexham.

Didn’t create any real chances today. DA very quiet. Whitely won the battle there. No Kenny Davis today but hopefully he will come in on Monday to allow Graig and Harry to get further forward.

4 points from BW is an excellent return and definitely glad to keep the run going. Good stuff. On to Solihull who have won 3 in a row and will have some confidence, albeit quite a friendly run of games. With Wrexham losing today I think that rules out their already very unlikely chance at the title. Down to 6 teams and Chesterfield only just hanging in the group by virtue of an extremely good run. Strongly believe the winners will come from the top 3. Torquay have a tough game at Wrexham Monday and Hartlepool don’t play.

Sorry, yes! Read Chesterfield as Hartlepool with cancelled Dover game! And I already knew Hartlepool had the same trip 🤦 Tough game for them too!

Would have taken a point beforehand and certainly after what was a difficult match. Thought Whiteley was motm for them but even though we struggled to fashion anything near goal they didn't do alot either with Tshiminga having their best chances but on neither occasion did he get much purchase.
Another windy match afternoon, with U's taking the advantage in the first half and as a result Dean B managing an effort on target!
BW hadn't played for almost a fortnight (rusty or rested - perhaps a bit of both) but U's battled well. Thought the booking for Olaofe looked more like a foul to us as their guy appeared to go with both feet.
Solihull, on a confidence boosting three match winning run, up next then a well earned eight days rest from playing for the squad.

Boreham Wood are the draw specialist's so their 13th of the season shouldn't be too much of a surprise.
I think we missed Wilson today, he has carved some things out of nothing in his short time at GGL and maybe that was lacking today.
Solihull is huge for us, winnable and losable, we know they are a direct side maybe not the most mobile of teams but we will need a tough defensively display to keep a clean sheet up there.
