Just seen on the website that Matt has released 7 players.
Not surprised re Brown and Browne, Nembhard, Mason Pearce however I thought that Aaron Simpson always played well , had some attacking flare from full back and scored one of the best goals of the season. I also thought given more game time Callum Keally had a no 9 goal sniffers instinct. Personally I wouldn’t hold onto Sho-Silva.

More or less what I would have anticipated - although I thought that we might have kept one that Matt has released and maybe released one more that he has kept. Not sure whether Brad House stays with us or Horsham as he was on dual registration with both.

I thought Simpson was useful & could play in midfield or as a full back. However i look forward to seeing who Matt brings in.

I'm sure Matt had some decisions made easier after Saturday. There's no room for sentiment moving up a level and not everyone will be up to it. Simpson looked good going forward but his defensive frailty was evident against Barnet. Kealy is an isthmian level striker so no surprises there. A few more may go but if sho silva is going to compete for a place he'll need to make giant strides. Assuming olafaye isn't coming back on loan, a striker will be top of the shopping list.

I can't disagree with this. If you are going to struggle to get into a league winning side and not really grasp the opportunities when they appear, then you shouldn't really expect to be part of it going forward. I agree about Simpson - he had a bit of a Dan Wishart about him, with similar strengths and weaknesses. We need to assemble the strongest squad we can with the smallest of budgets, and even if we are paying players like Pearce and Mason peanuts and they're never going to get a game, then sadly it's just money leaving the club with no return on investment. |

That's great news, if we can get Isaac Olaofe for another year I believe we have a first eleven that will do well in the EFL.
