I had a look in today as I was passing.
I understand the new stand won't be built until after next season.

I understood that EFL rules required us to have extra seating in place for the start of this season - and significantly more extra seating for the start of our third season if we are still an EFL club.

Ooh I see we're on the other side now! It's been moved for the Stupid People - The ones who post on different forums saying we only have one covered side. Of course we will have to move it again once they start posting that we only have two covered sides.

Good if we could get the TV scaffolding tower reconstructed so the view from the covered terracing is not obstructed.

I seem to remember lots of local opposition to this. Clearly we can't let them use our pitch any longer.

This feels like groundhog day. This isn't a new thing and Davethegrave is right, there was a lot of local opposition. From what I'm aware of, this is Glenthorne High School applying for the pitch and SCR grabbing the coat tails. The same bid failed a few years back, mostly due to issues with access. It would be very hard to see if those conditions would be solved enough for it to pass. I don't think however us going into the league would bar SCR from groundsharing, as of course Kingstonian shared for a number of years after AFC were promoted. I have no idea what the arrangement is between us and them, but as our ground will be upgraded and potentially cost more to run, if a contract hasn't been signed, then a proportionate increase to their contribution would be prudent.

No it’s the First team, the women’s first team and SCR. We can use the new pitch for up to 20 hours a week I understand

Diggers are right in front of the camera today. Like a saddo I have been checking in most days. Cannot see any evidence of pop up sprinklers or enhanced drainage?

This morning they dug drain lines on pitch to the right of the camera although a few hours later they were covered up again. The cable under the pitch went in yesterday
