The old Yeading ground looks smaller than i remember. Surely one of the poorest grounds in the south of England. Shame as dorking had some TV potential, but Hayes is about as unattractive a tie as there could be. Just hope we do a professional job and move on to round 2 but it's got all the hallmarks of a 'banana skin'. Anyone else see the fat guy fall over the hoarding at the very end of those hayes highlights? Most amusing

I was thinking it may well be a TV game and certainly a sell out as all the locals will be around for this one.

A landmark campaign this season for the club as it’s Suttons 100th FA Cup campaign (according to FA Cup Factfile on Twitter).

Although I don't think this will be the case, H&Y v Sutton would probably be more of an attractive fixture that Dorking v Sutton for TV. One of the lowest ranked teams left in the competition at home to the newest league side with an FA Cup pedigree, 5 or so seasons ago playing at the same level and with a significant history between the 2/3 clubs. We've got no real league history with Dorking Wanderers (certainly not in recent times) and they are a mid table NS side.
For TV purposes AFC Sudbury v Colchester, Pompey v Harrow, Sheff Weds v Plymouth, Lincoln v Bowers/Pitsea, Carlisle v Horsham, Stratford V Shrewsbury and possibly Charlton v Havant (if they win tonight) will all be far more attractive TV ties than either of ours would have been for a variety of reasons.

As a rule it seems to be Non League at home in the early rounds so Stratford will be top of the pile as home to Div 1 strugglers ; Sudbury next versus League 2 mid table. The appeal of us is along the lines of poacher turned game keeper. The BBC have been to us before- ITV haven’t since the days of Brian Moore so they may be interested. Perhaps we should keep our powder dry until our 3rd Home tie v Man City Liverpool or Man United? 😂

The H&Y Ground has the best GRASS playing surface in non league and way above. A cracking Stand and the rest of the Stadium is improving rapidly. We have been on the TV the last 2 years and this year…….it’s about time we knocked out a League Team. Remember visiting your ground back in the League days, it was awful, trust it’s been improved since? Anyway, hope you manage to obtain a Ticket and are pleasantly surprised by the Ground and the Facilities!

They're at what used to be called The Warren.
The new stand is significantly bigger than the seating they had before redevelopment.
Don't know what you think it was like when Yeading played there but the seating was akin to what you get at Corinthian Casuals plus small covered area behind one goal. That was basically it.

Like most Sutton fans I haven't been to H&Y's new ground, though I did go to The Warren a few times. Looking forward to visiting next month.

H&Y ground is Yeading's old ground. It's in the same boundaries.
Just remodelled with a name change. It's like Sutton knocking everything down and rebuilding it and renaming it.
Dulwich is slightly different to that in that it lost a fair bit of its footprint when redevelopment took place.

Anyway, hope you manage to obtain a Ticket and are pleasantly surprised by the Ground and the Facilities! Nope GGL is still awful. As much fondness as I have for Sutton and GGL it offers dreadful views of the action except in the main stand, although someone appears to have built an oil well on one side which blocks around 25% of the seats. What's that all about? However, I think the shiteness of our ground is helping unsettle our more illustrious opponents (Swindon aside). I'm not talking about Hayes'pitch, I'm talking about the three sides of the ground which have nothing but a fence and a wall. I don't care how good the stand is, it's a no from me. Unless you're 6 foot 4 a little bit of terracing is a must.
