We could do with steadying the ship and are up against a team with some form. Expect changes from Orient. Score draw.

Yes difficult to know what to expect from most of these teams this season. I expect Bugeil to start and Barden to slot in at right back. Apart from that i can't see any other changes being made. The bookies have us as favourites to win and i think we can.

Evening all. Regards tomorrow's game. Barden in for kizzi ( does anyone know he is after he was substituted) Maybe possible a couple other changes? I agree with you Stewart hard to call possible a draw.

I agree with you Stewart hard to call possible a draw. Always good to listen to the post match interview by either Matt or Jason for "clues", Matt said he had a bang on the knee and that the Club would assess the situation over a couple of days, hopefully he 'might' be available for selection, if not Jon would, as has been suggested, will be a more than ample replacement

Whilst I’m sure they’ll be another test their good form could equally be down to a nice run - Scunthorpe, Stevenage and an out of form Tranmere are their 3 wins on the trot. Hopefully us at home prove equally to be a test for them. Good point from Matt that we’ve played 10 out of 17 away. We’re doing great and should remain full of confidence. Hopefully we can be fast out of the traps.

They may be on a nice little run, but their away form hasn't been great. They won last time out but that was their first away league win of the season, on the 7th attempt.

from the Mansfield forum:
"A couple of players having played for the Stags and for Sutton United have been traced, although some of them did not make a long-standing mark at the Stags. Here they are: Craig Dobson, Richard Harris, Jeffrey Monakana, Richard Pacquette, Soloman Taiwo and a current Sutton player who before the start of this season came from Altrincham. The name: Alistair Smith, who so far this season has featured in sixteen Sutton League Two fixtures, and has scored on three occasions."
Gutted I'm missing this one. Hopefully I'll be ok for Saturday.

Looks as if the Stags have a few players out injured (probably more than we have). They include striker Rhys Oates who scored the goal in our 1-0 defeat at Hartlepool last season. Another of their players who's faced us before is Ollie Hawkins, who was at Hemel Hempstead then Dagenham & R before a move to Portsmouth; he was a striker then but we may see him play at centre back this evening.
Mansfield's defensive record in the league is the same as ours, with 22 goals conceded, but they've only scored 19 to our 25. They are however above us in the form table (10 points from their last six games compared with our 6).

Work trip wangled, so my first game at GGL since Oldham. How things have moved on since then! Suffice to say, plenty of nervous excitement. I mean, we're playing against a Clough side...

So I was standing by the GGL entrance a few moments ago and one of the stewards was on her loudspeaker asking fans to clear the space right as you enter the ground. Good that she was being proactive etc but maybe a word that she/they do this once the game has started. Difficult to keep completely clear due to selling programmes, 20/20, toilets etc but good on her for standing her ground when she questioned by a few ‘older’ fans.

Dominated the game without being dominant, played 90 mins without any dip in performance, and topped it off with 2 cracking goals and a world class save.
In a weird way this could actually be our best performance of the season without the bells and whistles you'd normally associate with one.
A well deserved 3 points and a fantastic all round performance.

Good response that after Saturday, controlled the game and restricted them too very view chariness. Bugiel had a good game, never stoped working for the team. Mansfield were one of the favourites too win the league, also to have Nigel Clough as manager shows how far we have come, so well done Matt and the team, also great crowd for a Tuesday night.⚽️
