Read this & like everybody else, just laughed. I suspect even some Robins fans will be embarrassed by some of the statements. How weird to compose a mission statement on a football website, laudible I suppose but weird.
I suppose whoever is sticking the dosh in is trying to big the club up but they will have to have twenty monumental seasons on the bounce to catch the likes of Woking, K's and dare I say, U's up before becoming the best established & well known club in Surrey!
As some of our former CS opponents fans used to sing "just a small club in Sutton!".
Still, if it was written to gain a reaction it certainly has succeeded.

Still, if it was written to gain a reaction it certainly has succeeded. I'd be astounded if they were capable of such forethought! Still, i suppose these things are to be expected from the most established and best known club in Surrey... Also, i can't be the only one thinking that the phrase; "most established" is just wrong? I say this as i'm sure you can't use comparative words like most next to a word so definite in its meaning when used in the context i'm assuming they're going for about being recognised, known and respected but still, it just seems a bit odd Maybe you could take it that by; "most established" they actually mean most secure but with all the bankruptcies and ownership changes that would be bollocks!

The apostrophisation in paragraph 3 would indicate that they only have one player and one spectator?

The apostrophisation in paragraph 3 would indicate that they only have one player and one spectator? You've just made that second word in your post up, haven't you AB?

The apostrophisation in paragraph 3 would indicate that they only have one player and one spectator? I knew that I could rely on you, AB! Shocking, laughable, several other adjectives.

its not run by a supporter anymore, so dont blame the fans We're not blaming anyone. Just laughing at you all ;D Some of the comments on that site are definitely things that Trading Standards should be looking into though!! Interesting to note Dipre has appointed himself Director of Football. He'll be the manager there by the end of the season Changed my mind.....Dipre will be manager there by the start of the season from what I've heard

More propaganda/lies....just spotted this about Phil Wilson on their site:
Wilson has the experience of finishing in a team who were promoted from the Ryman Premier in Runners-up spot and has commanded the Number One Jersey at Gander Green Lane since 2004.
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but Phil didn't join us until our first Conf South season....and our goalkeeper that season was in fact Andy Iga...
Oh, and apparently they had a crowd of "nearly 200" for their youth team friendly against Greenwich Borough earlier this week. If only their first team could attract that sort of crowd...

I can see this is going to be essential viewing over the next few months. Looks like Dipre has been on the Alan Hansen school of writing match reports:
CAFC bagged three points from their first game of the season in what was a disappointing performance against a lacklustre Margate. Two great second half Goals from Stevens and Jolly clinched the win – Stevens headed home a superb swerving cross from the edge of the six yard box courtesy of a Dwaine Clark free kick, Jolly got the winner by taking full advantage of an inch-perfect forward pass by Honey, slotting it home from 15 yards with under ten minutes remaining. But these were the only two highlights of what was an uneasy 85 minutes for the home crowd.
CAFC have the more skilled and experienced individual players, but the advantage was levelled by a playing system that unnecessarily exposed both flanks and regularly left Carshalton outnumbered in wide positions in both the first and final thirds of the field. As a result, CAFC defending from wide positions, corners and crosses was abysmal. Distribution from deep positions had great intentions, but having played it short every time for the first 20 minutes it became predictable, then simply suicidal. Individually there was very little to criticise the CAFC players about, they all played with passion and spirit - there were some excellent individual performances notably from the captain David Graves, Dean Carpenter and Dwaine Clark.
CAFC will be glad to start the season with 3 points, but will need to sort out their playing system before they will meet stronger opposition or indeed any team on a poor playing surface, either of these situations will expose the shortcomings of today’s team-play.
Seriously......what is this bloke on?!!!

I wonder what Hayden Bird thinks of that report, given the repeated criticism of his "playing system".

Pretty shocking bit of reporting there when you consider it's from their official site!
