The following Player of the Year awards were announced at the Club's annual dinner on Saturday night:-
Youth Team Harry Ottaway Reserve Team Sam Clayton First Team John Scarborough
Nick Drew was named as the UCB Reserve Team Players' Player of the Year Alan Bray was named as the Ralph Carr Young Player of the Year The "Decorating Party", en masse, was named Clubman of the Year
It was also announced that Paul Harford is stepping down as Assistant Manager to focus on work and family life. Paul was missing from the dinner because is pregnant wife is unwell and we all wish her a full and speedy recovery, as well as thanking Paul for his efforts over 15 months and wish him well for the future.
Another familar face who will be missing next season is Phil Dunne. Phil stood down as Youth Team Manager at the start of this season because of pressures of work, but has now decided that his business demands are too great and has also resigned as Reserve Team Manager. Phil has done a tremendous job during 9 years at the Club, finding numerous players who have progressed into the first team and beyond and also winning his fair share of silverware. Phil was thanked for his contribution by a standing ovation.

Well done to all the recipients of the 'Player of the Year' awards!
Sad to hear that Paul Harford is standing down, best wishes to him and his family. Also sad but not surprised about Phil. Just to say thank you to him for for his wonderful efforts. The Fa Youth Cup run a few years ago when we beat Plymouth and Cardiff in their own back yards will go down as one of my top footballing memories, not to mention many other wonderful performances by his teams at both youth and reserve levels.
I just hope the production line that Phil was an integral part of setting up continues to unearth talent in the same way!
Thanks again Phil!!!

I would just like to thank the board players and of course Ian for their support this year which has been long but enjoyable with the result in safety in conf south achieved comfortable. I have alot of outside commitments at the moment that make it hard finiancially to commit the time and effort sutton Utd respect. I've really enjoyed working with this set of players on the training pitch and Ian and I have improved the team throughout the season. Ian and I have worked really well together and It's been a good working relationship that might be joined again some time but I know your support him again next year like you did when you were most needed the year before ie Eastbourne away when the support was fantastic. I'm sure i'l see you soon and if not connected anywhere else at some games next year. Good luck! Harf.

Cheers Paul, best of luck for the future. Your efforts have been much appreciated by all and not having you coming in the bar asking for the scores next year will be strange! Hope to see you down the Lane at some point next season.

Now, being as sober as we generally are can anyone help with a small matter.
I managed to leave my raffle prize at the club last night completely forgetting about it, until just now in fact!!! I won the freeview box that i know someone wants. Tried the club but they've not seen it though i presume someone might have handed it in, or maybe had it for themselves!!

Millsy, it's a Good News-Bad News situation First the bad news. You did not win anything...........which is probably because I didn't buy you any tickets Now the good news. Your ticket was re-sold so you can get a refund
