Matt has said that we wants to rotate the squad for this one - but I think that his ability to do so may be limited. I would think that Brad would play in goal as Lewis is cup-tied from his time with Swindon. Sounds like Aaron will come in at centre-back - with maybe Louis and Coby playing a half each alongside him. Joe and Jon likely to remain as full-backs given injuries to others. Ali into middle of midfield with Harry and Easty playing a half each alongside him. Enzio and Luke (if fit) on the wings. Maybe Kwame and Kylian starting up front with Tope injured and Charley cup-tied from his time with Lincoln. Orient put out close to a second string side in their last EFL Trophy game against Oxford - and given that they have a top of the table game at Barrow on Saturday, reasonable to think that they may do so again.

Is Charley cup tied as well? I didn't think he was.
Had assumed he would get a start Tuesday

Is Charley cup tied as well? I didn't think he was. Had assumed he would get a start Tuesday Having checked, I'm very pleased to say that you are correct. Confusion arose because Carabao Cup (formerly the League Cup) is sometimes (erroneously) referred to as the EFL Trophy as well. Charley has played and scored for Lincoln this season in the Carabao Cup - but he didn't play for them against Barnsley in their first EFL Trophy match. On that basis, I would anticipate Kylian and Charley possibly starting up front against Orient on Tuesday. Lewis Ward definitely did play for Swindon in the EFL Trophy so is cup-tied (don't want a repeat of the Surrey Senior Cup last season). Having just been corrected by Tim for erroneously saying that Richie Bennett left us to sign for Carlisle (rather than Barrow) - I'll get my coat.

I think Orient are very much prioritising a promotion push this season and like you say Dave they have a big game up at Barrow next weekend, we have a big game too though against Salford. I hope we can rotate the squad somewhat and get a result there on Tuesday meaning likely qualification from the group. I was pleased to hear Matt say Pierre is likely to play some involvement, Smith will surely start along with Boldewijn, Kendall and Thomas perhaps.

You are spot on localboy86, I'm not sure Richie Wellens is allowed to say openly "we don't give a monkey's" so he'll choose some words which mean much the same thing. His future and the future of others depends on us getting promotion (or at least play-offs) and the board have no interest in making a couple of quid from the tiny gates of this competition. I'll say it instead, our side will be a mix of those who need 90 minutes, those who are in Wellen's ear for "all I need is a chance" and those who are returning to fitness and need some competitive time. We lost 5-0 at Oxford in the other cup with a makeshift side and plenty of teenagers so, if Sutton want to do well in this competition again, all you need do is pick a reasonably strong team. Good luck at Salford, we may need some at Barrow.

Only naming 6 subs including Dundo suggests aside from Milsom Hart and Fadahunsi which we know of- Randall, Thomas and Boldewijn must be ill or carrying knocks. Is there anyone else I’ve missed?

3 goals, 1 substitution, 3 fairly lengthily stops for injuries = 3 minutes stoppage. another joke.
