Made me smile on BBC Sport Match Stats they had 60% possession, did they 🤷🏼♂️, 7 shots on target and they had 1, did we see the same game?

Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
The only thing missing was scoring one (or 2) in front of us 2nd half as we surely should have with the chances that came along. If we’re being picky we still need to work on being more clinical, but it didn’t matter today. Great effort from our group.
Very solid display. They had a couple of decent chances first half but not a sniff in the 2nd.
Nice to get 3 points. Vital really and should put a spring in the step for the week(s) ahead.

I'm going to say, those that don't think we're better off with Donny in the line up seem a little foolish, to me.

Beautiful. Just beautiful.
A good hard fought game between 2 balanced side, with a crowd which for a "local" Derby got it spot on. Friendly, supportive and very vocal.
At the final whistle, it felt like a huge weight was lifted from our shoulders, so I can't imagine how magnified that felt for the players and management.
We've certainly lost to worse sides than AFC this season, the difference today was there wasn't a bad game on the pitch for any of our players. It just felt more like the side of last year. I think it was the move where Randall caused a great save from Tzanev - the build up play was delicious to watch.
MoM today. Enzio especially in a position that is not his natural one, and shout outs for Wilson and Lovatt too. But in all honesty, any player could have been in with a shout.
Curse banished, now time to build momentum

A deserved victory today, very hard fought and determined display from every player. You just could not help but fear when that 5min board went up at the end, but in truth we were the better side today and should have won by more.
That brings me onto Donny, we have missed him, but again today he lacked a goal, if only he could find someway of getting that ball over the line. We have a strange situation, a striker who does not score, yet whos name must be one of the 1st on the teamsheet? I want to see Kouassi and Wilson play a 90mins up top, something has to click.

Very assured performance from Enzio, agreed.

There may have been a degree of controversy about Craig Eastmond's goal (our first in 350 minutes of play), but there's little doubt that we deserved to win this game. And that victory was achieved with a threadbare squad, injuries again requiring a full back to play at centre back and a winger at full back. Adam Lovatt, who last month was playing two levels below League Two, did not look remotely out of place in this contest.
Up until the goal I thought the Dons had edged things, Lewis Ward stretching to stop that Harry Pell header going in, but in the second half we were pretty much in control. The only criticism is that we should have scored more (a familiar refrain!), the best chance coming when the ball broke to Omar who had a clear sight of goal, albeit from distance, with Nik Tzanev stranded on the right-hand side of his area. But Omar's shot lacked power and Tzanev was able to scramble across and intercept. His best save though was from that fizzing Will Randall shot which was heading for the bottom corner.
The result lifts us back to 14th, three places and five points above AFC Wimbledon. A glance at the Dons' forum reveals a boiling well of discontent, with calls for Johnnie Jackson to go. Despite our own recent sticky patch, there's no such pressure on his former teammate Matt Gray.

I echo all the above sentiments plus would add that Coby Rowe was an absolute man mountain at the back.Any loose ball and he was on it and i certainly wouldn't have got in his way.
Glad that AFC Wimbledon have their own stadium now but i have to say that the lower tier seats at the away end were dreadful for viewing anywhere past the half way line. You could just not see what was going on at the other end of the pitch and being behind the goal made it even worse! Certainly to be avoided next time! Also the police did the same as Gillingham. 1200 fans herded through one exit then sent in the complete opposite direction to Sutton or Haydens Road.
Rant over. Well done to the team picking up their first win on the road and for doing it in front of the fabulous away support.

A good local Derby. As been said the team were well up for this game.Well done Matt and Jason for getting the squad as it was yesterday. There was no man of the match. The whole team were!! OK one or two have been pointed out as man of match. Good that the losing streak is over and we can progress. The win will give the squad a boost and go on to better results.

After looking at Paul’s photos it’s clear that we didn’t push anybody for Craig to score, no foul just a foul up on Wombles part😂.

Thought it was particularly uncomfortable for Jonny Jackson to have to dissect his team's performance on the highlights show - had to bite his tongue he obviously still thinks it wasn't a legitimate goal

It was a 1-0, fairly narrow, loss, for Heaven's sake. Not a complete hammering. And even if there was a touch of shirt pulling (which I still haven't seen any sign of)) in the lead up to the goal that's scarce reason why one of your defenders should contrive to physically collide with your goal keeper. I do think Matt handles disappointments rather better than that. Thankfully.

In fact we seem to do better when teams have more than us. Take a look at the stats at the Carlisle v Doncaster game. 60/40 to Donny yet Carlisle had 23 attempts on goal to just 5 from Doncaster.

Forgive me if I'm being dim but is there actually an AFCW fans forum? Damned if I can find it. Link, anyone?
