Thomas has been sent to Coventry. No one at the club has said anything about him for weeks.

I think Colchester have always had money. They just used it badly before (too much meddling from the board from what I heard) There's always at least one side who spends their way out of trouble, and one of the main reasons our uptick in form came at such an opportune time. Judging by their back to back wins, we played Colchester at a very good time and I expect them to move away from the drop zone. Can't see the Gils staying up with their goalscoring woes, but it will be a real dogfight for the other drop spot, and being able to watch from a safe distance (hopefully) will be a privilage. Next season it will probably be three down, so even more of a scrap. I think that you will find that Colchester have lost quite a few recently for various reasons - so had no option but to bring a few in.

I've no inside information, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him loaned out to a National League club. Provided that neither are injured, I would have thought that it would be of benefit to both Kwame and Luke to be afforded the opportunity to have some game time somewhere else. They both seem to have been somewhat in the wilderness for a while - and the recent return of some players from injury and the arrival on loan of David won't help their chances of having game time with us. Aside from anything else, Malta's first qualifier for the next Euros is in March - and I would have thought that Luke would want to be playing regularly before then (they are playing England in June). To a lesser extent, another loan might benefit Adam when he has fully recovered from concussion now that Ali and Harry have both returned from injury. Not sure that he could go back to Dartford as they are absolutely flying at the moment (winning their last four matches, three of which were away and three of which were against their two main promotion challengers - Havant and Ebbsfleet - and scoring 14 goals in the process). However, if Adam was to be allowed to go out on loan again, it would need to be with a recall option in case injuries/suspensions impact us further down the line. If Matt does bring in another striker during the transfer window, might be worth considering allowing Tope to go out on loan as well.

He has proved he is good enough at this level.

As he’s retired from Football I would have thought Wimbledon or carshalton would be more likely

Well who saw that one coming? Not exactly prolific but who knows - obviously been on Matt's radar for a while.

Bradford fans generally rate him but has had injury problems for them. Hopefully he can keep fit for us and fire in some goals. Looking at his clubs we have done well to get him you’d think.

I think he may be injured at the moment. He was certainly prolific when he was at Boreham Wood. Somewhat surprising to see a player leaving Bradford - who apparently pay very high wages for an EFL 2 club - to come to Sutton.

And born in Carshalton
We're pleased to welcome striker Lee Angol to Sutton United after he signed from Bradford City for an undisclosed fee.
28-year-old Lee, who was born in Carshalton, was an academy player at Tottenham before joining Wycombe and then Luton, and it was during a loan spell at Boreham Wood while with Luton that he came to prominence, finishing the 2014-15 season as the National League South's leading scorer and Boreham Wood's Player of the Year as they gained promotion to the National League for the first time.
He has subsequently played in the Football League for Peterborough, Mansfield, Shrewsbury, Leyton Orient and Bradford, who he joined at the start of last season, scoring their second equaliser in the 2-2 draw with Sutton at Valley Parade. Manager Matt Gray said: ''I'm delighted to bring Lee to the club. He's a player I've watched for a long time and been impressed with, and locally based, and he'll add good competition to the forward line for the second half of the season.'' Lee will have the squad number 33.
