We had contact from Millwall over the weekend asking about any previous encounters, we can only find one game between the two sides. It was also a pre-season friendly. What was the score ?
Reigning SUFC mastermind champions excluded !!😀

I think we beat them 3-1? Was it 2007?

Well done.! We lost that 0-2 but in fact we had overlooked that game (must tell Millwall !), the one we had in mind was over fifty years ago !

Expecting a tough game tomorrow from a side (probably a different xi each half - but both very strong) who were 45 minutes away from the Premiership play offs last season - and have strengthened during the Summer. One of their new signings, Scottish international Kevin Nisbet, scored in their win over Gillingham on Saturday. One of their top players (Fleming) is currently the subject of multi-million pound bids from Burnley and Lazio. Millwall's long-term and very popular chairman, John Berylson, tragically died in a car crash less than two weeks ago - and I presume that we will be showing an appropriate mark of respect (unlike from the Gillingham fans on Saturday). He has been succeeded as chairman by his son. Millwall filled the away end at Gillingham on Saturday - and I would expect similar tomorrow.
Without factoring in injuries/players coming back from injury (Ryan Jackson maybe?), I would anticipate Matt starting with a strong xi for the first hour or so - along the lines of: Rose, Kizzi, Goodliffe, Trialist?, Hart, Clay, Eastmond, Coley, Trialist C, Smith, Angol.

Matt said in his post match interview after Reading that the players that got 30min on Saturday will be playing 60min on Tues, and vice versa

Couple of hundred Millwall fans standing outside the home end on GGL at the end. Presumably not to shake hands and say 'good game lads'

Life long Millwall fan here, but lived Sutton/Merton as a youngster. Been GGL regularly when I'm not at The Den, first time in the away end. Absolute shambles, run out of beer before the game started, stewards were trying to have a bully up and seemed surprised when they got some back. Not sure they were prepared for so many in the away end. Never had a problem when I've been in the home end. Not sure what the fella above is saying about Millwall waiting outside the main stand for Sutton fans. Load of nonsense.

Couple of hundred Millwall fans standing outside the home end on GGL at the end. Presumably not to shake hands and say 'good game lads' Possibly they were the 200 Millwall fans at West Sutton station ten minutes later, waiting for trains back to SE London. What we saw on the pitch this evening was the difference between Championship and League Two. From what I could glean, Millwall started with a pretty strong XI. They didn't make a substitution until the 77th minute when Kevin Nisbet, who'd scored a hat-trick (including a penalty and a free kick), was taken off. By that stage we'd made ten substitutions. The closest to a Sutton goal came when their keeper had to make a smart save from one of his own teammates. Still, all useful game time - particularly for Tope who came on in the first half for an injured trialist. Ben Goodliffe was once again the rock at the heart of our defence.

Not making it up I left five minutes before the end and they were just arriving as I walked out. They hung around there and I kept walking. Not sure went wrong with the catering at the Millwall end but the last three home games of last season the away fans sold out their allocation and I didn't hear of any issues.

Just as stewards opened park exit gates, a group of young Millwall fans walked past. One of them hurled what was either part of a brick or a heavy stone at the terrace. Fortunately, they didn't get enough behind it and it landed on the back of the terrace not some one's head. All for a psf which their team won comfortably. A shame as all the away fans I interacted with today (and there was a fair few) were great. As for the stewards at the away end, very surprising, as last season they gained many a favourable comment on social media.

Unfortunately we do attract a lot of divs, other than a couple of grumbles was a decent evening.

Saw it and indeed heard the clump as the projectile hit the concrete with my very own eyes and ears.
