Well, letting that sort of behaviour pass without comment is basically the same as saying "I accept this is OK" and actually I don't. I'm pretty sick of this kind of rudeness on here as it's making the forum a less pleasant place for the rest of us. If I didn't have a role within the club that means it's important for me to listen to what other fans are saying, I might have given up reading it some time ago. Not saying it's just you, but I would say you're probably the worst offender.
I don't think it's reasonable to expect someone who wants to post an important piece of news to first trawl through every existing thread to see if it's already been mentioned. However, I do think it would be perfectly reasonable to simply respond along the lines of "this has already been mentioned on [other thread] - here's the link." See? Does the same exact same job without being unnecessarily rude or unkind. It's really not that hard.

Rudeness on here extends to many comments aimed at the management, the players. Crikey, by implication, some have even accused Matt of being insane!
But that's all ok is it? But blimey, have the temerity to pick up a poster's input on here isn't?
Management and players don't have any redress on here - they are not all Dos - but posters can respond as they feel. They can stick up for themselves if necessary.
As I pointed out, having read so much criticism about the management etc on here I thought I would see how one of those critics would react if the tables were turned.
If others, as they did, wanted to jump on the bandwagon that's up to them.
And if doing so is "rude and unkind", what is questioning someone's sanity?
But I don't recall you objecting to that.

They had 1,500 for a midweek match before Barnsley replay so a good chance they will sell the majority.
Sutton to Horsham is ok by train to assuming the line is not affected by strike action

There are train strikes due to take place that day, but not (at the moment) Southern.
I don't believe I participated in the thread you referenced, Mark, but obviously I would object to that. I did say you weren't the only one and I would feel the same no matter who was doing it, but two wrongs don't make a right. Just because other people also behave badly doesn't make it any more excusable if you do, or I do, or anyone else does. I'm not the forum police and I'm not going to call out every instance of it. But I am going to say something when I start to see it on so many different threads that I start getting fed up with it.
I've said my piece now, just wanted to register an objection to it all really. Not interested in arguing about it and only responded because you seemed to feel I was only targeting you which I'd already said I wasn't. I know you'll argue back because you always do but I won't reply to it this time. If you don't agree then...well, that's normal. You're allowed to disagree, anyway.

On other forums I'm on if the admins think a thread already exists they would close this one and point people to the other one.

Thank you Sallycat for your support. I agree I have criticised some of the on-pitch performances in my posts, but that is surely to be expected on a fan forum, and anyone who disagrees with my opinion is welcome to tell me why I am wrong - in my analysis - not tell me I am wrong to post criticism of the performance at all. This was only the second thread I started out of 800 posts. I have said in my second response in this thread why I thought a new post with this strap-line would be useful. Allowing for Mark Frake's fan club - who knew the fact before I posted and who only clicked this thread to see what Mark had written - that still leaves about 900 people who thought it worthwhile to read it.
"And there M'Lud rests the case for the defence."

Ideally, this thread should be merged with the "FA Cup Second Round" one so that all the posts on the same topic are in the same place but I don't think ProBoards (which this message board uses) has such a facility.

Not once have I stated you shouldn't criticise, that's your perogative but equally it is mine too. If you don't like receiving don't give. I do hope I don't have a fan club, because they will be sorely disappointed. 900 views? Someone is enjoying the show then, perhaps TV rights aren't just a dream.

On other forums I'm on if the admins think a thread already exists they would close this one and point people to the other one. But then how would people be able to trawl back and dig up old threads so they could add something tangentially related to a post someone made in 2015? 😂

As I said before, my job is to tell Matt how to manage better, tell the players what they are doing wrong, and of course tell the board to cough up some dough. I even invite the views of MarkF, and where I do agree with him, is if you can give you should be able to take it, and I should know
