Unable to make it last night, so what happened? Did you learn anything? Were all your questions answered?

Unable to make it last night, so what happened? Did you learn anything? Were all your questions answered? People stated we need to make more money, everyone had the best idea on how to do that, a few had a good moan, then went home... In a nut shell 😁 For me it what was interesting is how we seem to be at a cross roads where the non-league vibe is passing us while the more money orientated League club vibe is every growing (providing Steve keeps us up). This is changing the nature of the club. My feeling is, this is an enevitible thing and it should not take much to deal with this growth while maintaining the close community that has been an attraction for so many years. Its just a case of taking care of the little things while doing what's needed on the business end. Perhaps things has moved so quickly it has been difficult at times.

The thing is the club had too change because we were going no where and almost relegated to Ryman league one and getting gates off two three hundred die hards. So people moaning how the club is now should remember how the club was. We have come a long way sins then and for the better.⚽️⚽️⚽️

Any clarification on timing and scope of any ground improvements? Nobody asked about this until i did right at the end. The club I think will be making a Statement on this soon but we have to get in an extra 1000 seats by 30 April (although there may will be dispensation) until the first day of the 24/25 season. This will be going ahead regardless of what league we're in. There's an awful lot for the powers that be to sort out in this regard. They want to get it right. They have to work out sightlines for instance as the new stand will be closer to the pitch. Eventually it is hoped to run all the way along the rec side but this will come at considerable expense. If anyone has a spare 10 million quid (my figure i might add) then please do help. My guess is the EFL (as we will still be in it when the season ends) will allow us to extend the date to the start of the season so the works can take place in the off season so not to disrupt our viewing pleasure, keep our capacity over £5k and with less people at the venue health and safety should be a little easier to control.

I've said this before and I'll say it again - these are seats we don't necessarily want as for many the experience is better standing and you pay more for a seat . This is being imposed on us ( as was the pitch change) - surely the EFL should give a grant or a loan on favourable terms to help plus also this is expenditure which has to be taken into account with FFP - didn't Everton come a cropper with the expenditure on their new ground and were deducted 10 points.

I'm rather looking forward To having a seat along the Park side and there is still plenty of standing in the ground.

There is no reason for a seat to cost more than a standing spot.

I have to come clean and admit that so far I’ve only made 2 visits to GGL this season because I cannot stand up for 2 hours and I’m too big (ok, fat) to fit in the old stand seats without losing my knee caps to the seat in front. So being a season ticket holder, roughly £120 per match. I’m looking forward to the Harrogate game where for an extra £4 I’ll have a seat in the away end, bring my per match cost down to a mere £80. So I’m desperate for the club to provide a new seated stand. As far as FFP is concerned, building a new stand creates an asset the costs of which can surely be depreciated over its expected lifetime, so shouldn’t greatly impact FFP?

To Tony. Sorry to hear of your physical limitation to use your seat, I steward side 1 of the grandstand. There are frequently empty seats in the front row which offers the leg room you may prefer. You might try contacting ; Tickets@suttonunited.com and request a change of seat. I know the club have a "want to help" attitude towards season tickets holders like Yourself. In fact it frequently arises that people with physical limitations ask me if they can move seats to the front and if I can help I will. Though with just 1 seat unsold in middle of a row for the wrexham match oportunity for this game is already less likely

I always preferred standing when we were non-league, but definitely wouldn't say the experience is better standing now we're a league side drawing much bigger crowds. Unless you're of average height or above (which won't generally be true for women or children) you're unlikely to get a decent view of the game when the standing areas are full.
