Saturday doesn't matter really if we are going to be losing games in that manner at home.
So many chances wasted and two moments of switching off leading to two easy goals.
I was full of hope today. Really thought we could win this.
The fact is, this team can't finish, can't defend and it can't turn games around. I don't see us staying up now regardless of Saturday.
Pretty glum here tbh.

We can’t keep a clean sheet and can’t score more than one goal, therefore 1-1 is best we can hope for.

OH Boy! what can you say about that? Classic sucker punch match, U's utterly dominant but couldn't even hit the target from 6yrs out with the goal gapping. The team effort was immense, Patrick and Harry worked their socks off, but clearly lady luck is knackered after her trip to Ipswich at the weekend.
What was the ref playing at, at the end, he has to allow the throw due to time wasting on the throw in by them which took around a minute, shocking officiating.
We need to make just one more signing tomorrow, Paul Daniels.

We really should have got something out off this game, I mean all those corners and no goals to show for it then too conceded two poor goals which we keep doing. So it is frustrating when you have that amount of possession and don’t score. Thought Patrick had a good game never stopped running all game. So Saturday is massive, we are seven points off now so must win nothing else will do. We can do this even with a bit of a dent to night. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Task just got harder. I am finding it really hard to believe. The issue this year is even when teams do not even outplay us, we lose.

You can’t keep saying the next game is massive. They all are and we are not getting enough points. We need to sign Houdini.
It was nice whilst it lasted.

7 points adrift but still 17 games yet to go. We do need to beat Doncaster on Saturday and get something up in Morecambe.
Harrogate took their chances and we didn't .We played well enough but didn't have that cutting edge.

You could argue that has been the case for the last two seasons. We haven’t got the quality either on the final pass or finishing. Harry Smiths 9 game ban is likely to be the defining factor in our season.

Hugely frustrating. We had most of the attacking play, and struck the goalframe twice, but still lost. Unfortunately, we didn't have a striker on the pitch of the calibre of Jack Muldoon. We have to hope that Harry Smith's return can make a difference.
That result lifts Harrogate to 8th. For what it's worth, we've only got six games left (out of 17) against sides in the current top ten.

We must try to keep the faith. Is Faith a striker?

Not ready to give up on it. But for the first time this season I would agree that Saturday actually is a must win game. We need to be starting our best XI for that one.
The finishing was appalling tonight. A fair number of very good chances.
The performance was ok. Still think there were times when we were a bit casual/unprofessional - just slow to get to the ball or taking too long as if we’re playing against an overweight vets side. Just need to be a bit sharper and switched on the whole game.
I really hope Eastmond just being managed and no injury problem.

I might rather have enjoyed that, result apart, as an entertaining encounter if it had been a meaningless end-of-season mid-table game. Well, chance would be a fine thing!
No doubting the energy and commitment of the team who played some good stuff at times with plenty of possession and pressure.
The bottom line though is that we weren't good enough with issues that have plagued us all season again evident: chronic inability to keep clean sheets; insufficient guile to prise open packed defences; and strikers (Smith apart) who don't score. One of more of those, preferably all three, need to change, starting on Saturday.
Credit to Harrogate though for their resolute defending.

Such a shame that from about 5 mins before their goal went in, we decided to become a tribute act of the Sept/Oct Sutton United. After dominating the game, we went back to hoofball, which allowed what I thought the poorest side I've seen this calendar year to take the lead.
On a positive note, Omari had his best game for us for a long time, but that counts for nothing if we can't win games like this. It just felt like all the hard work over the last 3 games had been undone. We could have won the game 4-2, bearing in mind we hit the post, bar and their keeper pulled off a fantastic save, but every ball into their box we were 2nd best to.
We could have won it but we didn't. Sadly, we only have ourselves to blame.

Both strikers missed glorious opportunities.
