Hmm I’m not sure - I’ve been keeping an eye on this and we’ve always been around the 12-14/1 area for winning the league. Probably worth some money as an each way bet.

The best bet would be Top 7 finish best priced at “6/4”.

The value of the price and the majority of tipsters have Sutton finishing at least top 5.A price at 6/4 to finish in the top Seven is a good price especially if we are at least aiming of reaching a play off place.

If we make the play offs we would have had a fantastic season. I predict mid table but would not rule out a top 7 finish.
All pressure on Barnet.

I would have thought the play offs would be the minimum target and automatic promotion the ultimate. Steve reckons Barnet & Forest Green are our main rivals but who knows until we actually kick off. Yet to see who we can get in on loan from a Football league team.

Given there are a lot of teams with squads just as good as ours who have been together longer than ours, I certainly wont have any expectations that we will finish above them all. But we may see a good few of our players improve as the season progresses as they adapt to full time National league football and a new team. Who knows what else happens with transfers, but if I had to place a bet I would have is finishing around 10th, and while it would be fantastic to make the play offs, and certainly not impossible, I would be content with 10th, and then build towards promotion the following season..

I don't go to PSFs but, from what I've read on here that seems to be a pretty fair assessment. My concern is that we might get out-muscled by older and more experienced opponents. As to how good the team is, here's the line up v Boreham Wood in the 2018 playoffs. How do this season's counterparts compare? Jamie Butler Terrell Thomas Jamie Collins Aswad Thomas Louis John Craig Eastmond Nick Bailey Harry Beautyman Josh Taylor Tom Bolarinwa Tommy Wright Subs
Dean Beckwith Kenny Davis Kieron Cadogan Ross Lafayette Byron Harrison

In recent seasons teams relegated from L2 haven’t finished in the playoffs. I can’t see Sutton bucking the trend

Dean Beckwith Kenny Davis Kieron Cadogan Ross Lafayette Byron Harrison The Nat League is arguably tougher now. That was a decent side with a Beautyman and Eastmond on their way to their prime, a solid defence and Baily was also great in midfield. There is an element of the unknown with our current squad. If all the players do the business and prove themselves at this level, we could be a very good team, But you have to fancy that at least some will take time for Steve to get the best out of. I agree about the physical aspect, but maybe take into account the lads dont want to get injuries before the season starts.
