Can someone tell to me why Blair didn’t play on Sunday? Was this down to another episode of health and safety reasons?

I was wondering that. A regular outfielder played in goal. I don’t think there was a match report on the web site either, just the briefest mention of the defeat on the weekly email.

Simply unavailable for two weeks, we knew in advance. We couldn’t find another keeper so Jaz played in goal but we have someone for this week and are hoping she can play despite problems with the online portal used for registrations.

But saying “Simply unavailable” Doesn’t answer the Question. When a player is unavailable the paying fans are normally told why a player is absent from playing.I know the club are protecting themselves with the recent controversial bad press they are currently receiving but when there a paying fans wanting to know why a player is absent then that is bad practice by the club from hiding player information.

Why do you need to know? Not really your business!

mj9goals1982 Why do you need to know? Not really your business! it's not too unreasonable for fans to wonder why their team can't field a goalkeeper isn't it? Obviously not.

This is the 3rd username you've used here. You have been previously banned as Amberpatriach. You were also Sunglasses70. And now you've popped up again. Consider yourself banned, as you have previously been banned before. And you will continue to be banned if you attempt to come here again. You have been given plenty of warnings.

Goalkeepers are hard to come by especially when they are not guaranteed 1st team football as they can a;ways go to another team and be number 1. We know this first hand as we have tried to sign several GK's over the summer period.
Blair has had to go to Scotland and therefore missed last week and will miss this week. This was brought forward a couple of weeks at late notice.
We tried to get a GK in for last week but to no avail hence why we had to use outfield players in goal, reserve team GK was not available either. We have manged to get a GK on loan from QPR for this week.
Some supporters will of course remember we had to use Ricky Kidd in goal many years ago and also managed to sign 41 year old Chris Vagg just before the midnight cut off before an FA Cup tie at Eastbourne when we had no fit GK's.
For the record our cut off point to sign players for Sundays is 4pm on the Friday before the game....
Edit: As Mr Soper reminded me tonight Ricky actually played the full game for us V Bishops Stortford and kept a clean sheet in a 4-0 victory! ( I am sure Mark Frake can confirm this) We also have had Tony Rains in goal.

I agree with SUFC 1898 that it’s not hard to explain why we didn’t have a women’s keeper on Sunday. But big up to Admin to give a full explanation.

Bizarrely, the Billericay keeper broke his jaw in a collision with Paul Thornton in the first half and the match ended with two outfield players in goal.

From memory, Tony played in goal at Layer Road when Col U "knobbled" our keeper in the first few minutes , Tony played a blinder, but wasn't able to stop us losing 1-0 UPDATE....Memory not wrong....match was played on 13th October 1990........It was Nicky Sullivan who was "hurt"..He suffered a broken jaw in the 1st 15 seconds of the game !!

Simon Downer going in goal against Torquay after injury to our keeper when doing a goal kick, the role poly goalie having been fired for eating a pie so unable to be on the bench was another one.
