That sounds like a good thing to be honest. Obviously it will be good for Billy, who has tons of raw talent, but also good for Gav - he's always been clear that he wants to move up, and this shows that Dos and Sutton are willing to support him. Sounds like a good case of positive reinforcement to me.

3 weeks? Think yourself lucky, I don't think we've had one in about 18months, if that!

I, like Billy, have not received a Guardian for about 3 weeks, but all of a sudden I'm getting the Sutton Post instead!

Me neither. Are they still printing the bastard thing? I've even emailed them to complain.

I guess they just can't get people to deliver 'em these days. Even when I was a kid, their pay for paper boys & girls was well below what you could earn doing a 'proper' round for the local newsagents.

It's luck if we get one here now that my mate stopped doing his one down the road and he'd pop up and give us one. His money varied from £5-£12 depending on what leaflets you do when he delivers 300 its really not worth it! I done it a few times for him and always got £5, didn't seem worth it!

I think I've seen it once this year but always get The Post. Unfortunately, that is mainly aimed at Epsom & Ewell in terms of the reports & sometimes does not cover the U's (or Robins) at all.

Four years, Chalmers? You should count yourself lucky - I've never had one delivered in my lifetime ;D

You lot have hijacked my thread which was suppose to be about Billy and Gav not the local Guardian delivery service, which BTW we have never actually had delivered here
