Fancy playing on the hallowed GGL surface?
Ever dreamt about scoring a 20-yard screamer into the top-corner in the last minute?
Now here's your chance!!
We have arranged for a match between SUFC Supporters and SUFC Colts Managers to take place at Gander Green Lane on the evening of Friday May 15th to raise much-needed funds for SUFC Colts
Depending on the number of players, we hope to be able to use roll-on, roll-off subs (as most of us won’t get through 90 minutes!!), so the only restriction is that all players must be over 16 on the evening of the game.
Please let me know if you’re interested in playing as soon as possible by either emailing me on garethdmiller@hotmail.com or finding me at Saturday’s game so that we can decide how much each player will need to pay.
We ideally need a squad of 16-18 people to play, but there won't be a limit if we get too much interest. Even though some of the Colts Managers are supposed to be relatively good footballers, lack of ability, old age and senility will be actively encouraged and may even guarantee you a place in the starting line-up!!

If you are looking for age and seelity are you aware several of the original Sutton Supporters Team from the 70's still watch SUFC.Would be worth seeing them on the pitch if zimmer frames and wheelchairs were allowed. For a small bribe(A pint would do)names could be revealed!Of course the individuals concerned could buy me several pints to keep my lips sealed.Come on lads get your hands in yer pockets .You know who you are.

Cheers for the excellent response so far everyone - should be a good evening and even if you're not able to play we'd all appreciate the abuse support from the touchline If you are looking for age and seelity are you aware several of the original Sutton Supporters Team from the 70's still watch SUFC.Would be worth seeing them on the pitch if zimmer frames and wheelchairs were allowed. For a small bribe(A pint would do)names could be revealed!Of course the individuals concerned could buy me several pints to keep my lips sealed.Come on lads get your hands in yer pockets .You know who you are. I am indeed aware Wellie.....surely this is a perfect opportunity for a reunion 30 years on. I think the phrase is something along the lines of Cameo Appearance ;D

Perhaps we could pay a unit cost per minute... (11X90 meaning that there are 990 units). This would allow those of us who have never been near a nasty ol' muddy ball to come on, run around without getting too near it for a couple of minutes, then leave the field of play with our self-respect intact having laid claim to gracing the GGL pitch. A sliding scale would be good - I'd happily pay £10 per minute for two minutes, with those able to last 10 minutes perhaps paying £5 per minute and those fit bast*rds who think they can last 45 minutes paying, oh i don't know, 50p say.
