I have not come on here to gloat or rub your nose in it as that is not my style. I just wanted to say do not beat your selves up over yesterday. Our lads were up for it yesterday as the title was in sight and they played as if it was the first league game of the season rather than sixth from last.
I think that no matter which side turned up yesterday they would not have got any thing from the game.
You have some good players, so put yesterday behind you, get into the playoffs you deserve to and enjoy the remainder of the season.
By the way your supporters were magnificent yesterday in defeat, most still stayed on to applaud.
Good Luck

Thanks Harry for that, you are right any team that had turned up yesterday to play Dover would have had the same treatment. Dover were up for it.......and were de termined to take the title , in front of the cameras. To use a line from an old song..........pick yourself dust yourself down and start all over again......
So on Tuesday, put the Dover game behind you....and go for the three points at Hendon.!!!

Congrates to Dover on a well deserved title and I agree they would have beaten anyone who turned up yesterday.
But they would not of won 6-0 and the team they played would not of just had a single booking which was for back chat after a foul was committed on Chukki. What really upset me was not the fact we lost but the lack of passion and commitment, the 'get into them f*ck em up' bit and the ball or player may pass but no way are both going past me? Its that what cost us 3 goals and destroyed our goal difference which effectively meant we lost a point yesterday.
We looked like the opposition in a harlem globetrotters show yesterday!
I hope that it has a positive effect on Tuesday, I know if I was a player Hendon won't know what hit em!

I see I was by no means the only one to have mentioned the 5-0 win over Aldershot. Have we ever lost a league game 6-0 before? I certainly don't remember one.
However, what's done is done. Let's move on. Just because we got completely thrashed doesn't mean we can't get into the playoffs, or that we are as bad as they made us look!
I'm looking forward to Tuesday

Springing to mind are 6-0 at home to Enfield in mid 70s, 6-0 at Slough a few years later (when we played well, ask the Slough fans who remember) and 7-0 at Chesham when Alan Gane fielded the reserves because of a Trophy game a few days later.

Mid 70's v Enfield was 6-1 (Delaney). We lost 6-0 to Grays in the CS too. In the Conf we lost 6-2 at Barnet & a similar scoreline at Morecambe too.
In the 60's we lost 6-3 at Hendon, although the 'keeper got injured during the game & had to go off.

Just a message to echo Dover fan Harry, on an earlier post, don't be too despodant. Yesterday we were well up for it and anyone would've copped it IMO. On a personal note i would love to see you get back to the BSS especially as you would be a local derby for us. I really appreciated the fact that at the final whistle when we were confirmed champions I noticed that your supporters were applauding Dover. A few of my fellow Dover fans also noted that and the fact you were well beaten on the day we respected that. We're not a BBB club, as many tend to think in this league, but we are amitious as I'm sure are SUFC. Best of luck in the play offs...

Cheers Bluebird I thought you were excellent yesterday. Worthy winners of the league. Congratulations to all at Dover. As to our play off chances ~ !

TBH, we look at the moment like we really are running on empty. If we somehow retain a PO place, then we're not getting past the first round the way we're going now.
Big improvement required. Massive in fact.
