Oh Dear! Margate were not very good and we did not take advantage and fill our boots today. We bossed the first 40mins with them restricted to a long range effort which did hit the top of the bar and a free kick which they scored from with 5mins to go in the first half. Second half we must of opened them up 8 or 9 times only to contrive in every conceivable way to miss the target. Margate did there best to slow the game going down at every possible opportunity with the ref stopping play to allow treatment which makes the second break away goal a bit difficult to take. Not sure who it was but a Us player left in a crumpled heap after a stiff challenge from behind in their box with muted calls for a penalty waved away followed by a ball up field caught us out and 2-0, the refs prerogative maybe but a bit of consistency is reasonable to ask for?
Despite the off target shots I don't think their keeper made a save all afternoon, whereas when Gate did get forward they gave PN something to do. It don't matter if we play like Heybridge or Brazil next week if we don't get shots on target we won't win.
Apart from the confidence factor we only lost the draw being good enough next week so effectively its play offs all the way now starting with the qtr final 25/4.

Forget it - Next week is a 'nailed-on' 0-0 and goodnight Vienna. I really think we couldn't hit a barn door from 2 paces at the moment. And yes I'm well and truly ****** off !

Shocking! The boys didn't look like they wanted it as much as they should of! The Gates defence was very weak and whenever we got through all we had was an off target shot. If we are going to win next week, Dos needs to give the lads a kick up the arse! I'm not happy at all! > (

We contrived to lose a match 2-0 that we should have won by 2 clear goals ourselves. No lack of effort but just a lack of class in their box. Having to shift the side around after skip's departure did not help either.
Anyway, we now know what we must do next week, otherwise it will be a disappointing end to a season that has entertained, hit some heights but some lows too, today being one of them.
Come on lads, let's not chuck all that hard work away right at the death.

Relax everyone.
The first twenty minutes of the second half today were as frustrating as frustrating can be with countless chances spurned but we WILL win next week and we WILL get into the Play-Offs.
Don't forget that it is still entirely in our own hands. If you had been offered the opportunity last November to be guaranteed a Play-Off spot with a win in our final match - at home - you would have snatched my hand off for it.
Just off to see what price Sutton are to be promoted right now. You know it's on.

(snap) If someone had offered us the chance to win our last match, at home, to get into the play off's we would have taken that............ wouldn't we?

And do we owe Hx big time for what they did in November, they have 3pts that rightly belong to us! Next Saturday is the day that the Hx express hits the West Sutton buffers

Of course i would of snapped your hand off to be in that position but if we look at it... we shouldn't be in that position! We've thrown away points too many times this season and should already be confirmed. Let's just have a massive effort from the boys next week and a win!

We have also picked up points that other teams would have claimed to throw away.
We can do this.
