Indeed AA....I'd almost expect a backlash on Saturday from their players who will be 100% fired up.
This is OURS for the taking though and WE WILL BE as fired up as they are!!

Has the thread now been deleted, as the link that worked last night no longer works.

Unfortunately I couldn't open the thread. I have known about this for a while but haven't been able to say anything. If I get any news I'll let you know

Yeah, saw summat about it earlier on the CS forum. They were discussing Fisher's winding up hearing & then someone spotted they were on the same list. What is going on over there? I'd heard Grant Beglan had taken over a few weeks back. WTF has Micky Woodward, the Grays Chairman (and co-manager!) got to do with Hornchurch? I read something about training and him, Grays use the pitch? My first thought was that he's the creditor that has most to do with issuing the winding up order but maybe he's using the ground for Grays training and not paying them? Bit of a mystery. Doubt it'll have any impact unless all their players suddenly do what i believe they call a "Westy" down there and bugger off cos they won't be paid.

I've just checked the London Gazette (15 April 2009). A petition to wind up Hornchurch Football Club (2005) Ltd was presented on 27 January 2009 by (wait for it!).....Portakabin Ltd.

...unless of course there is a point deduction attached to this - I'm no legal eagle so I have no idea as such, but could this lead into administration and therefore an obligatory 10 point deduction?

I think league rules give a cut off date for points deduction for the current season which is why some clubs rush to go into administration once they are relegated otherwise it comes off next seasons points. As said above its not going to effect Saturdays game but I do expect AFCH to be no more in the not too distant future. I guess some sort of merger between them and Grays will happen given the names involved which will release building land?? I picked this interesting little site up from the conf sth forum, so for those who have not seen it: Click here: Cough!

Bum! I had an operation last week and was hoping I'd be ok to go on Saturday. Had my first check up and got a categorical NO, I've got to be off my feet for the next week, so I'll miss the game and (hopefully) the play-offs. Perhaps the most important series of games over the last 40 years and I won't see them. Give them a cheer from me lads.
