Not many of you will have had the opportunity to have seen much more than a couple of minutes footage from the North Shields final in 1969 as up until today that was all the club had. However the full match including build up was professionally recorded in colour but on cine film which was purchased after the game by the then chairman of North Shields FC. The cine film was transferred to DVD a few years ago by Tyne Tees television when Malcolm Macdonald walked in with it under his arm.
The copyright belongs to North Shields FC but their chairman has kindly given permission for the DVD to be sold by us with both clubs benefiting. The cost is £10.99 with £3.00 going to Sutton United for everyone sold. I shall not be reproducing these and they are only available to order if you would like a copy please let me know and I shall endeavour to make your copy available for collection from the club shop at the Brentford game (if you would like it sent the cost will be £11.99 UK / £13.99 Overseas. You can put your name down here or PM me.
APPEAL The 1969 DVD is part of the on going project to collect as much Sutton United video / cinematic footage as possible. Although the archive currently stretches to coverage of hundreds of games I still need more in order to build a video history of the club particularly pre 1980s. If you have or know of any such footage in any format please let me know and I will arrange for any transfer to DVD to be made.

Please put me down for a copy (John Evans) - since I was actually at the game. Unfortunately living in darkest Wales I don't get to GGL that often so can you post it? Let me know and I will send you the details.
If you are interested I once saw a video of the complete second half of the amateur cup final against Wimbledon. If you already have a copy so be it; if not let me know and I will try to track it down.

I had a feeling that Pathy News may have it or know of its whereabouts??
