I have nothing against the YMCA ground (apart from the fact that they don't seem to have a lawn mower) but it did look a bit like one from a lower league. Welcome to the board Doublebarrel. I was actually surprised how well the pitch played given it looked like someone had just mowed a bit of scrub land.

Have to say that YMCA'sground was arguably better than Ashford (middx variety). Certainly the bar facilities were better than those at Hosham's old ground.
Biggest issue was the cars coming in & out during the 2nd half. Few of them though to slow down. One step back & the H&SE will be on their case like no tomorrow. Perhaps they should steward that & tell the drivers to slow down?

Not when some of the fast drivers were stewards!!
Game ruined by the ref for me. Trying to take that out of the equation, I felt the teams cancelled each other out in different ways - we have more shots, but they were lacking conviction. Maybe Saturday was a little too easy for our generally young team.
Nice to see David Hughes there last night too

Yeh sorry. My point about the ground where Horsham play was badly expressed. What I meant was how is it acceptable for a Ryman Prem team to play there when at the same time the FA/Leagues are squeezing long established lower league teams out of existence by requiring greater and greater unnecessary facilities that the teams cannot afford. O don't bother reading this - I'm just crabby about last night.
