Oh dear Chalmers. The "explosion" you thought you heard was what some people call "thunder"

Thunder is normally associated with this thing called 'lightning', which is made up of electricity you donut. Hence why your telly is f*cked!

Electrical storms can do funny things! Lightning has strange effects on electromagnetic fields and can induce electrical currents in equipment like your TV, which in scientific terms appears to have buggered it, old chap. The funny colours are probably the effect of a massive electromagnetic surge- ever tried holding a magnet near the TV screen? No? That's because that would bugger it, too.

More importantly, has your hair become all unkempt and scruffy after being struck by lightning or is it the same as normal

I had an old computer monitor years ago that never worked again after a flash or lightning.
It happens

Damn, i was scrolling all the way down this thread thinking "Nobody's pointed out Chalmers job yet..." and you go and nab the joke The storm looked pretty damn cool from on top of my hill down in Brighton, not quite as good as the blue forked lightning i've seen at about 4am in Sutton before but still, a spectacular show Oh yeah, bad luck about the telly, seeing as nobody else is that bothered about you having to fork out for a new one now...
