Forgive me for being pessimistic but while it's great news for next season he's hardly pledging his future with the club. Normally pledging your future with a club is 3, 4 or 5 year deals. Now I realise at his age (and the level of football he's playing) with his ambition that is not going to happen. A great season next year and he'll be off and out of contract. However a one year deal is better than no deal.

Excellent news.Just what I HAVE BEEN waiting for.

Thats not the norm in non league football.Players usually are on one or two year contracts.I believe these contracts have an option in for the club to extend a further year sometimes.

I do realise that delboy, just didn't like the wording. Perhaps if they inserted the word "immediate" it would be more appropriate.

JR - I think Warren will still be under 24 this time next year, so my understanding is that the club will only have to offer him an improvement to the deal that he's just signed to ensure that we receive a fee for him.

Ok. I thought all that had something to do with a player coming through the youth set up like Nicky Bailey.
He might want to stay after next season when we're in the Conference!!

Good to hear. Goals mean wins. Hopefully i won't bump into him on the train to the ground half an hour before a game is due to start anymore though!
