Let's be fair, most of the readership are borderline illiterate, so to them it probably makes perfect sense.

"More than 1,000 fans packed the War Memorial Stadium last season" although this figure did not include anyone standing in the left hand terrace or those paying by cash allegedly

Do they have any readership? From previous posts on here, I dont think anyone gets it delivered anymore!

That's because we don't have one any more Check the time of the opening post - we did when it went to press. You underestimate its prophetic qualities

The weather for Boxing Day looks very good!

Only a non-league football supporter could enthusiastically conclude that "light rain/fog" = "very good weather" ;D Great news for the game going ahead, though please remind me not to take your advice on where to book summer holidays.

A previous article in another issue suggested going to a non-league game as something to do, but omitted Sutton United as an option (although did include Carshalton, plus picture!). Strange if he's a former regular.....

The weather is warmer but presumably the pitch is still covered in snow.

Well the snow has thawed quite a bit down here but now we have heavy freezing rain! Is there any news on what the GGL pitch is like? Have to say that Boxing Day games in this area look very unlikely. We are planning to drive up for the Carshalton match so early news on any pitch inspection would be appreciated on the day. Merry Christmas to all. Have a good one!

Also if there is a need for manpower to get the pitch and/or ground ready for the game to be played then i'm sure an appeal on here would yield suitable numbers

Most of the ice seems to have been melted by the drizzle overnight. It's about 3 degrees, not freezing this morning.

Main danger now it seems would be waterlogging.
