There has been a lot of talk of our lack of consistency, but I think i've actually found some...
Look at our record for midweek games (in all comps)
LLWLWLLLWL
Taking out cup games
LLLWLLL
Our sole midweek win was the fantastic result at Hastings. We've failed to even get a point at home midweek this season. There was the same story last year, but to a much lesser extent. I totally understand that players work, and have jobs meaning they are knackered midweek, but that could be said of most players in this league.
Bearing in mind a lot of our season has now been shifted to midweek, its something we really need to rectify now - improving this WILL get us into the play offs.

I've been concerned with our game by game consistency. After Saturday, I worry about our half be half consistency!

Maybe the problem is that many of our players leave a large carbon footprint when they travel? Only a thought. Do other teams at our level have such a widespread playing staff?

It's not quite as widespread as you might think:- of Saturday's starting eleven:-
Cheam 1 Surrey 1 Crawley 1 S London 3 Other London 2 Hants 1 Essex 1 Brighton 1
Agreed though, not like the days when living beyond Chipstead was far away for one of our team :-)

Remove the away matches from Andy's second (League only) list and you get the following midweek record:
LLLL
That's certainly consistent!

Keep up Filbert....................we've had 2 Essex based players since the start of the season ( they've even got the same surname.............bit of a clue lol ), the Assistant Manager is also travelling from Essex...............................oh, and before I forget, I also travel from there to steward you lot nearly every home game !!! But, before you get started, I am actually Surrey born and bred............North Cheam was "my territory"

What sort of result was the 'I' ? ;D An idiotic one. Or an incomplete one. Or possibly an inconceivable one.

I think we'll finish the season strongly. Once pitches start drying out a bit and conditions improve, I'd like to think we'll see more evidence of the fast passing game that we spoke about before the season started.

I think Rambo should be 'fans fan' of the year Not just being a steward at 1st team games but covering for reserve and youth matches. Plus the unenviable job of collecting money for the goal sponsorship he runs.

The good news is that if we win all our remaining games, we're guaranteed 6th place!

Rambo - at least our Essex boys play for a team in Surrey. I have yet to find a friendly Essex club (except the old Grays Athletic bar with its fine choice of ales).

Aveley were all right, too.
