Oh dear they're back to winning ways. Let us only hope that this is old Dipre feebly attempting to save the club from relegation by spending money he doesn't have on players etc.

You never now what the Bobbins could do. Every team could still win the league right now.

Quick passing football in the first half, a bit like at Dartford and the two goal lead well deserved. Lost our way a bit in the second half and BW came more into the game but we go home with the points and the other results appear to have helped us, so a good night's work.

Like Saturday, 3 points well deserved. I was breathless in the first half, the pace at which we played was like nothing I'd seen this season. Dos and the team had done their homework, and saw that BW's weakness was pace, something we exploited to the max in the first half.
2nd half we were always going to tire, and BW started getting more into the game, but we held our own. Ref generally was quite good tonight, apart from not responding to a foul on Billy Hawes, which allowed BW to break and score their goal, and missing a blatant handball in the pen area.
Bundled goal by Gargan for the first, but to be honest we'd been very dangerous for the 15 mins before, and there were at least 2 occasions prior where BW we're very lucky not to have conceeded. 2nd goal was the best, a calm finish by Bradley Woods Garness, and he was pleased as punch to get it too!
With the exception of Horsham, who are keeping in touch with the leading pack, other results again went our way. If we manage to win our games in hand we can put a lot of space between us and outside of the play offs, and a good March, come when we play Ks in April it could be to secure our play off ambitions!
Undefeated in February, 1 defeat in 2010 - still with the 2nd best defence and gd in the league. We're moving closer, but it is in our hands still. I reckon 6 more victories in the next 14 games will see us into the play offs (with 65 points). But I think we are better than that, and finishing in 2nd place is more than possible for the team and the set up we have. I did say earlier in the season we have a better side and more options that last year, and we are proving that.
Well done to the boys tonight, 2 wins and 2 draws over top 5 clubs in this division is a good record. Lets make it more!

This was an excellent result that continued our recent run of good form against other leading sides. We've come into form at the right time, and have at last cemented a place in the play-off zone. This was a different team from the one that won at Ashford, with our more attacking line-up justified by the decent surface. During the first half we played some of our best football of the season, and so it was ironic that our opening goal was the sort of scruffy effort that we've conceded too often. The second from Bradley W-G was more pleasing on the eye and crowned a fine comeback performance. The second half was more even, although there was a touch of controversy about the goal BW pulled back with Billy Hawes lying hurt on the edge of the pitch. The officials also missed a blatant handball in the home penalty area! The last ten minutes were a bit tense, but our defence coped well under pressure. We're now third in the table, and have played most of the other promotion contenders twice. Things are looking up!

Not the referee's fault that he missed the handball - The player all but caught it but was facing his own goal and therefor blind side of the man in the middle. No excuse for his assistant on that side who I thought was poor all night. As for Borehamwood's goal - c'mon guys, what do you want? Billy puts a perfect ball through to Joseph and is immediately taken out big time (ending up off the pitch). What is the referee to do? If he blows for the foul we'd have been howling about the advantage - Joseph crosses and I think Steve heads just wide - probably 10 seconds of play and I don't think I've ever seen a referee cancel out that much advantage - sadly the rugby rule does not count for much in our game! The GK is taken quickly and the ref glances across at our injured player and notes that he's off the pitch - any thoughts that he should stop the game at this time is surely taken out of his hands? I thought todays refereeing performance was probably the best of the season, helped no doubt by the attitude of both teams. Discuse...

I'm very impressed that at 23:35 on her birthday a certain person noted that 'Stonking' was an anogram of Kingston.

Yes, sallycat should go on "Countdown" if she can complete an 8 word conundrum at that time of night. I watched Countdown yesterday, the new young lady on it is well fit. I got aroused, quite proud of myself cos thats 7 letters. I can normally only get 5 or 6 at the most.

Excellent 3 pts last night. Well done Dos for his team selection tonight, going from "big" to "small" and selecting pace & ball players on what was a brilliant surface consideing the weather we've had.
First goal was scrappy but the ball into the area that set up the chance was good. BWG's goal was excellent, holding off his opponent beating him for pace and the finish was delightful.
BW were at home and weren't third in the table for nothing, so I expected a second half response. We got it but for a few better placed passes we could have been home and dry before they scored.
As for their goal. The most contraversial part of it was that the late challenge on BH should have been a second booking for th pepetrator. He was the guy who scored the goal - nuff said.
However, I though the ref, overall, had an excellent game.
Well done to the lads tonight & good to see BWG & AJ2 back & both looking very lively.
Finally thanks to BW, for producing their normal excellent surface. They have a great set up at Broughinge Road, it's a shame that so few of the locals appeciate it. Gate was recorded as 123 & we must have had at least 30 or so there last night.

Ian Allinson (BW manager) definitely would not agree with above comments about the ref. He was mouthing off for 90 minutes a la Jimmy McFarlane of AFCHx - tossers both. He even had the temerity to say the 14 didn't touch Billy Hawes just before their goal. It was right in front of me and you could hear the noise and also the player's cry of pain too. First half performance and the first 15 of second half was as good as I have seen Sutton play for a very long time. Pace , passing and movement was brilliant and we should have got more goals so were hanging on at the end and could have dropped 2 points when they hit the bar in stoppage time. Hilarious moment at the end, after we had seen the ref indicate 4 extra minutes, with 44:30 on the clock. After we had played 4:15 over, the board came up with a 3 on and the ref then blew for time. Magic. Very enjoyable and quick drive home in just over the hour ;D Pity about our error at Jct 19 coming to the game as we missed the correct turn off and went through Watford and Bushey so arrived at 7.15 after 2 hour drive.

Good win & 3 much needed points. First half performance was excellent. With both sides playing a really good tempo. Deservedly 2 up at the break, but 2nd half I think BW went more direct and as a result the ball spent more time in the air. Not sure our changes helped us either. However, having had a decent game, the ref played an advantage for the shocking tackle on Billy down on the touchline. The bloke was well late and surely he should have gone back to at least book him when the next phase of play broke down with Wattsy's header? As it happens, our FB is left lying poleaxed and the bloke that did him runs through the gap to score seconds later. Grrrr! Set up a nervy last 10 or so. And when that corner dropped to the bloke unmarked far post, I was expecting to hear the ball hit the net from the other end. But instead he chose to leather it against the bar instead. Cheers mate. Can we have a couple of dull 3-0 wins now please? This hanging on a bit at the end lark is rather bad for the ol' ticker.
