According to today's Surrey Comet, we have signed Craig Watkins, who spent last season at Havant and Waterlooville.
If he can re-capture his form when with us before, this should be a good signing.

Excellent.I thought that the Hon Sec alluded to that a month or so ago.
Welcome back Craig.

Some of us kept that quiet as it's been on the cards for a while, although never done & dusted. Well done to all who kept their gobs shut.

At the end of the day the whispers that are heard around the club aren't for us to report on, when it's official we hear from Hon Sec or the local media.
I heard Torres was coming to us before he signed for Liverpool, hope he realises the mistake he's made turning us down!!

I wonder if he will play as a right winger or as a striker?

Nice to see Craig Back . Hope he starts as well as when he was last with us. Now how about a Goalkeeper . Wilson costs us at least a goal a game.

That's a bit harsh on Wilson. He's improved no end and has saved us more times than not recently.

We are disappointed to announce John Cartledge has left Colston Avenue. Following discussions with Dave, John was unable to agree personal terms which has resulted in him leaving Carshalton Athletic.
During his time at the club, John has become an influential player in the team and a very popular figure in the Dressing Room. John has always given the team 100% committment during the last two years, with no better example of that being last season. Without fuss, the 22 year old played through the pain barrier and delayed a knee operation to ensure the club secured a mid-table placing.
The First Team Management are all disappointed that we are unable to agree new terms with John but wish the big fella very success in the future. I understand he is training with Sutton United.
Although John has left us, we have every confidence that Liam Harwood will prove to be a first class replacement.
To keep you all updated with current developments in pre-season. The boys are working exceptionally hard on the training ground and myself, Dave and Pete are delighted with the progress the squad are making. In continuing to develop youngsters, we have introduced Luke Simpson into the First Team Squad, who looks to be another youngster with great potential. Graham Tydeman has also successfully made the step up from the Reserves. The new players are settling down very well, Gary Drewett returned to training following a kidney infection and Rob Tarrant is currently working one-on-one with Rob Ursell to ensure his knee is 100% fit after his operation. 'Urs' should resume full training within the next two weeks.
With Charlie and John having left this week, we will be confirming our latest signing before Tuesday night's game with Walton & Hersham.
Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

bit harsh on Phil great shot stopper needs to be a bit more commanding in the air and a bit quicker off his line but he is still young
